Slowly working on my Raffine's character, I still can't decide what her name is though. It's funny how some dolls have an obvious name straight away, but others take their time! Here is a photo of my Elle with my Raffine.

And yes, Dolls are like that. Some time their time in giving you who they are.

 

Beautiful dolls! Love the 30's vibe of Raffine's gown. They remind me of the fairytale of Snow White and Rose Red.

 

They are both lovely! Seeing your Elle makes me eager to get mine...shouldn't be too far away now!

 

Thank you everyone! I am sort of going for opposite looking characters, as Elle's face is quite fierce and Raffine's is more gentle. They're looking away but touching hands, as they cautiously get to know each other, as I think Raffine is quite intimidated by that scowl... I'm still experimenting with outfits and taking photos (I know that backdrop needs an iron ).

 

Thanks so much for putting this together! I’ve seen this technique with fashion dolls but they just use a single piece of fabric. Using small pieces of tulle seems handy for more precise shaping.

With so many Outlander fans around singing its praises, I started watching it last night out of curiosity. Only 3 episodes in but it’s been a lot of fun so far!

She is so gorgeous!! I adore that wig and the dress. Where did you get the wig from? The colour and style is so unique and gives her so much personality. I think Raffines really suit dirty blonde hair, I'm still trying to pick out the perfect wig for her. I got the white one from Iplehouse when I got her for now. I think I came close to buying the same/similar outfit from Tatterpunk on Etsy! My Raffine has been so indecisive about her style and name so far. Hoping that a certain wig or outfit will just click it all in to place

At the risk of committing the Eighth Deadly Sin of Photo-Spam, here is another view of the wig. It has some blue in it, which goes really well with this dress. The wig is from SophyMolly's Etsy store (it's the "Sky Mermaid" style). I have some more photos on my Flickr (Evey Trepassen).

I think you like Baron, Martha. Well, so do I. So much so I ordered one.
How does the JID outfit fit him? I assume that he's on the Model body.

I ordered a couple of boys when only one body type was offered and that became the muscle body. I do prefer the Model body, and the difference between the two is quite striking imho.

 

Thank you! Baron was only trying on one of my JID's outfits so I could see where I needed to alter the pattern to make something similar in FID size. It fits pretty well on his torso, but the sleeves and collar are way too short.

I much prefer the Model body to the huge Muscle body, especially considering it will look even bigger with clothes on. I tried the same outfit on Lawrence, just to see how it would fit, and there was no way his huge arms would even go into the sleeves. I will have to do some major reworking of the pattern for him. He borrowed Baron's wig for the photo, Because he definitely needs longer hair to help make his head look bigger on those wide shoulders, but he will need his own longer auburn wig.

I found some velour with shaggy rows that will make a great furry collar for a cloak. I'm thinking something inspired by Game of Thrones.....

Could somebody tell me which not-Iple shoes will fit the high heel feet? I found shoes for the flat feet, but I need a pair for my new girls high heel feet also. Thank you!!

 

Yes, go and visit He-Meife on Ebay - they have lots of lovely shoes that will fit the FID girls. I buy both MNF size and 22" Model size. I have both the regular high heeled feet and the extra high heel.
