@Maria - OMG, your Baron is drop dead gorgeous! This is the look I would want if/when I order Baron. (Can't stand the beard they gave him. Something about the way they draw it makes him look like he has chipmunk cheeks.)

@MB Lilac - I love this look for Lawrence. He really needed the longer hair to balance out the fringe on his cloak.

Thanks I was a bit scared of what he would look like but he turned out just how I wanted him! Luckily Iplehouse provides great photos of the sculpt without a faceup so you can see the potential if the basic faceup is not what you want. Baron is such a versatile sculpt and can be taken into so many directions.

Does anybody have a Baron & Lawrence they wouldn't mind doing comparison shots of? I can't quite figure out the differences between them, other than Lawrence's nose!

Anyone else’s FID women’s wrist parts keep falling off? I mean the little crescent shaped ones that should keep the wrist joint hidden. They fall off of my Isabel constantly, I removed them altogether for safekeeping lest I completely loose them. Is this usual for these dolls?

 

Yes, at least for me! My Vanessa has lost both of hers, and my Raffine and Harace have one missing each. They are a good idea, but need some engineering improvements...

 

Since I have a dog who could be poisoned by resin, I went nuts about finding them. I also bought many extras from IH. Until a kind person suggested a sticky strip of moleskin lining the inside of them (around the hook) and they never came out again.

the wrist things falling out happens with all the iple dolls... it's not a 'defect'... just one of those 'things' that happen. you can buy spares if you lose them completely. And if you have extra hand poses you can use those. I only use mine for sure if I am doing 'good photo's. otherwise, if the fall out they stay out till I need them. They are really for looks and not function so take them out and set them aside if you worry about them.

@Maria I know I told you on insta, but I adore your boy. And yeah, the hook covers come out on their own sometimes. Moleskin or hot glue is what I do too.

I'm so excited about the event discount! Glad I waited to get a gentle tedros. Wonder if we'll see a new FID, or if other event stuff will take precedence.

 

I love love the fact that this sale extends well into January. Gives us time to recover financially. If they bring back the Creaa girl with wings, I'm going for it. I had to pass her by due to my house being so needy. (Electrical wiring. such a prima donna)

 

The sale appears to be active now, even though the advertised date is Nov. 29. I plan to wait a few days and order Baron in December to give myself the illusion of spreading out the payments.
