1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 10

Sep 4, 2019

    1. That’s great! Mine was $14 more, must be because of the freckles or something (I got Felix’s faceup A).

    2. Love this dress on her <3

    3. I have a doll stand for my FID. It's an Amazon cheapie, and I may end up decorating its base.
Another doll does have a little couch. They live on top of a china cabinet where my cat can't get at them, in a shaded corner of the room. I like having them out where I can adjust their poses or hand them a prop.

    4. It's definitely the freckles. Anything labor intensive like freckles or a beard always ups the cost.

      @Olga Borontova - Exquisite dress!

    6. Did Iplehouse fix the male muscular FID body? I'm amaze with the ease the body poses and how it was able to stand right out of the box. When Iplehouse came with the FID line I order Lawrence and I end up selling him because the body wouldn't hold a pose and the knees keep on bending and falling down. But Claude even thou he is not tightly strung he poses wonderful and the knees do not bend. Also he holds the poses beautifully.

I was unsure on ordering Claude even though he is my grail doll because of my previous experience with the FID male body but now I'm happy I did. I'm so enjoying this guy also The body feels lighter :)

      Here is Claudette again :)

    7. nice but no they have not 'done anything to fix them'... It nearly always boils down to 'learning how to manage them and how they come to your strung... since it's all done by ppl they may not be strung all exactly the same (ie tension). You just got better and so did the person who stung this one LOL. love him btw.

    8. @MrFjmg2003 - Gorgeous Claude! :love He's always been one of my favorite Iple male sculpts.

    9. Thank you. I don't think I got better. I only have complete vinyl dolls and two floating resin heads. So I'm not use to handle resin doll anymore, but a few months ago I owned a DollsTown 15 year old boy body and that body was a nightmare to handle. Maybe that's why now the Iplehouse FID body seems like heaven to pose LOL

Thank you so much. He has been my favorite forever too. I been wanting one since I started on the hobby.

In other news I tried this huge wig on Claudette because it is 8-9" size. He wears size 5-6" but I just order a short hair Monique wig for him in the color the same as this (white blonde) and I wanted to see if the color would look good on him. That's why I tried this huge wig and I think this color does look awesome on him, but now I'm kind of regretting ordering a short hair wig instead of a long hair wig. He looks fantastic with long platinum blonde hair :p

    11. Sweet sweater, @Olga Borontova! Iplehouse had one for JID girls years ago in the same colors but a slightly different style. It also fits FID. Is yours a mix of knit and crochet stitches? Or is it all knit?

    12. vermont chick
Thank you for your attention to my work :) This sweater is all knit :)

    13. @Olga Borontova Your stitchery is amazing. If you don't mind me asking, what size of needles and weight of yarn are you using to get it perfectly in scale for these dolls?

    14. Iron_Dog
Thank you for your attention to my work and kind words! And I tie with pins 1.25 and 1.5 mm and use a yarn 800 meters or 1200 meters in 100 grams.

    15. @Olga Borontova Wow those are tiny needles. The smallest I've knit with are 2mm and I though those were crazy small.

    16. Iron_Dog
I bought pins 1 mm - I look at them and think: I will be able to knit them or not:) I will tie and show you what I did :nowords:

    17. I've tried crochet hooks in 1.5 mm and 1.25 mm. All I can say is my eyes aren't what they used to be.

I have myopia - it is easier for me to knit thin yarns, thin spokes and a hook.... I noticed that I like not fine work, but beautiful outfits :) So, you don 't have to torment yourself :)

    19. ah yes, old eyes are old. Although, oddly enough, when I make eyes or hand sew, I take my glasses off because I can see better what I'm doing (I'm near-sighted and currently wear progressives as I need 3 different magnifications to read, see my lap top/computer screen and see distance).
