1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 10

Life always gives us surprises:) The main thing that we see, what we do :)

    2. Life does have a way of throwing curves at you. I swear I wouldn't own as many dolls as I do if I could somehow stay out of the MP and stop finding dolls that need to come home to me. I'd also be out several really good friends if I'd never gotten into this hobby, too.

    3. Iron_Dog
People, friends - it is good, but in small quantities and high aye:) And dolls - it is good always:) Probably, I spent too much time among people... Now you want to enjoy dolls, hobbies and knitting:) And a little pleasant communication with those who love dolls:)

    4. Oh yes, people in small doses, please. I'm an introvert and I find socializing for extended periods of time physically exhausting even if I'm doing nothing more than talking. I wish I was still able to knit *sigh*. Unfortunately I have arthritis in left hand and right wrist and tendinitis in my right forearm which all combine to make knitting rather painful after just a short time of doing it. I can still arm-knit scarves but the movements are much larger and easier on the joints that scream at me when I try to knit or crochet. Broomstick lace might be an option, too, since the needles are so large but I haven't tried that as an alternative.

Now you've got me thinking of trying to do a winter cloak for Vale. He'd totally wear something like that and I've got an 80L tote bin bursting with yarn that needs to be used.

    5. Iron_Dog
You write about self-perception of people - and I hear myself and my husband:) Yes, fatigue from communication, from conversations.... So you think when you say rather than use stamps, banalities...
I wish you good health! Take care!
If a little knitting gives you pleasure - enjoy! Simply limit this work :)

And I know people who envy those who have a passion, a hobby :) These people say: "You are well, you know what you will do" :) See, we are lucky - we have a beautiful passion - we love dolls - it is beautiful :)

      Reminiscence of summer

    6. I am also an introvert. Socializing for any amount of time is guaranteed to send me straight to my yarn and crochet hooks to decompress.

@Olga Borontova - Beautiful dress in one of my favorite colors. I haven't tried to crochet a long dress, although sometimes I crochet the top and make the skirt out of fabric.

    7. Introverts unite! But not in a group setting because.... y'know.....

@Olga Borontova I have tried to knit again but it takes depressing little time (about 30 minutes) before my tendinitis flares up. I haven't tried since I developed the arthritis in my left hand last year but I'm also still trying to manage the swelling as the more my hand swells, the greater the pain. Unfortunately for me, I need to use my hands constantly for my day job (architecture & structural engineering) and at night/weekends, I write (although I've needed to stop that for a while, too, to try and get the swelling down, which is even more frustrating than not being able to knit).

    8. @Iron_Dog Have you trued hand ease or compression gloves? They might help.

    9. @nancy_schroeder_ca Yes, I have some compression gloves. They help a little but when my hand is swollen, it actually hurts to wear them. I've also tried CBD oil (didn't help). The doctor, hilarious man that he is, said I shouldn't use my hand at all while I worked to get the swelling down. I mean, I am right handed, but I need to use both hands to work and taking a month off at least... yeah, not really a thing. I may have to take steroids again to wrestle the swelling into submission but that's a short term solution as constant steroid use is not good for you.

The right wrist has been arthritic for... 30 years so I'm more or less used to the pain there and ignore it unless it screams really badly. I ignore the constant pain of CPSP in my leg unless it's bad enough to make me limp when I walk but when the CPSP flares up in my abdomen or ear, it catches me off-guard and hurts like a mo-fo. I'm still adjusting to the constant pain of the left hand so it's harder to deal with right now. Eventually I'll get used to that, too, and be able to mostly ignore the pain. The plantar fascitis in my feet is also at the stage where it's still relatively new and difficult to ignore the pain completely. My pain tolerance is pretty high with constant pain but it takes a bit for me to reach the point of ignoring it and getting on with my day.

    10. My husband has just started using Australian Dream cream for back pain and has been surprised at how much it helps and it doesn't smell! They make an arthritis pain also.

    11. Really? I'm willing to try almost anything so I can get back to doing the things I want to do. I'll have to look into this stuff. Thanks for the tip @nancy_schroeder_ca

    12. Claudette got his wig today. The wig fits him perfectly but the style was different to how it look on the pictures. In person the wig was very voluminous and fluffy it look very feminine. I brush it and wet it a little bit and this is how it looks now. I will continue doing it until is shape the way I want it LOL

Thank you very much! I don 't really like knitting long dresses either... but sometimes... Want to tie up exactly a long dress :)

      Iron_Dog
Yes, I understand... It 's terribly frustrating when you can 't do what you want... offensively... You don 't have to talk about it a lot and think about it - it 's only upsetting, and life is a desire for good, joy.... Do what gives pleasure and joy... There can be a photography.... Or acquiring what you like:) Take care!
