@Bren Oh I'm with you for sure! I'm blushing my Tedros to go on this body since I want him to look like he could crush someone with his hands. XD And if Iplehouse ever makes an FID Falcon or Kamau, I'll have another beefy dude around here. My comments were more that if you don't want a somewhat exaggerated beefcake look, it's def not the body to go for.

@Bren I'm with you. I like those beefy swimmer's shoulders on my guys.

Oh yum, wouldn't a Falcon or Kamau be nice in FID size.

 

Valerian is a Claude vamp on the muscle body and I dig the way he looks all sweet and gentle in the face and his body is all unf. I bought him before they came out with the model body but even if I had the opportunity to change it, I wouldn't as it suits his character and I generally really like the muscled look.

Not to say I don't have skinny AF guys. I also have Wisp who's a Creaa-J Lev and he's one tall skinny drink of water. Kheima is on the DV 3-arm body and he's very skinny, too. I wouldn't say no to an FID on the model body if someone spoke up and demanded to come home (because I am horribly, horribly weak against resin in the form of a doll).

Those two would be wonderful as FIDs. Do you think they would rerelease a sculpt like Kamau that has been retired as a FID. Now that would be something.

They retired Luna and she just came out in FID so... things are looking up in that sense?

@Bren That would be great. I'd love to see some retired dolls as Fid, dolls that are shamefully underrated like Elchanan and Baharan.

 

FID Baron (with FID Lawrence type A faceup) arrived today. I took a few quick pics.

Thanks! The wig is Monique Gold's Bob. I've never tried it before but I like it, too.

He looks handsome with that face up . It's the first time I've seen a FID Baron in NS.

 

A while ago I damaged my Melisande's face beyond repair. I repainted her, and I actually like her better now. And I made a new wig for her.

 

@Bren - Thanks! I don't think I've another Baron in NS either. You can tell Iple's artists are more accustomed to working with the darker resins, because the coloring is a bit heavy. I suppose it will fade a bit with time.

@ResinRapture - Great job on the repaint! I like how the wig came out, too. Did you use mohair?

 

@vermont chick Thank you! Happy end, so to speak. It's lamb skin. I had that for ages and wanted to try making one. It's fun, there will be more

 

@ResinRapture Good job! The green shirt goes perfectly together with the reddish hair. And I really like her new face up - she has so much personality!

 

@ResinRapture - Loving those teeny 'buttons' on the sweater/shirt. one of my peeves is huge buttons or zippers out of proportion. she looks great with her new hair.
