1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 10

Sep 4, 2019

    1. Thanks! The doctor doesn't think he actually has it, but wanted him tested because he's got a respiratory infection. That's on top of the 'hand, foot, and mouth disease' he started with. It's definitely not helping my stress level right now.

I just wish my two new Iple ladies would ship. This the longest I've ever had to wait for anything from them - over three months now - but I guess it's understandable considering the situation.

    2. Martha, i hope that you and your husband will be okay. Stay safe, positive, and creative.

Love your two knights, their outfits are absolutely stunning.

    4. @Olga Borontova beautiful yellow outfit, infact, all your outfits are gorgeous.

Martha, my heart sank when I read your post to this thread. You and your wonderful husban are in my prayers. You have brought so much joy to others and especially me. Know that you are loved.

Thank you for your attention to my work and kind words!

    6. @MB Lilac That sounds better than fearing the worst, but it's still enough to worry about. I think Iple is holding back with the shipping since so many countries have restrictions regarding airports. And I would rather have my order sit safely at Iple than somewhere in a depot.

    7. @MB Lilac Gorgeous work as always. You and your husband are in my thoughts. I hope he recovers swiftly regardless of the cause.

      @LyanneNZ I adore her!

A bit of sunshine for the thread:

    8. Thanks everyone. It's a really scary time, especially with my husband already sick, but we have family close by who have been dropping off meds and food at the front door.

I still have a Tavern set up on my dining room table, and my JIDs, another MSD, and the FID guys all ended up there together, so I thought I'd take a picture to see if that might work....
Actually not too bad, as long as the guys with the bigger heads are in the background, then the depth of field makes all their heads look the same size.

    9. Real peoples' head size varies dramatically. I think your group looks great!

    10. It's just that I always thought they'd have to stay completely separate, but under the right conditions I can still use all my JIDs to fill in the background. Next thing is to test the KIDs and BIDs with the FIDs.

    11. I have to be careful that my boys big heads aren't too far forward with their SID girlfriend! So I play with depth all the time. It's amazing what you can change and make work depending on your angles and depth.

    12. oh the FID's and KID/BID ... that i want to see. you are very skilled at perspective... if anyone can do it you can MB!

    13. @MB Lilac Sending best wishes for your husband's quick recovery.

    14. Thank you! He's been sick for two weeks, but Monday it took a turn for the worse, and I had to call 911. They took him to the hospital, and say he has pneumonia, had a stroke, and a heart attack, and possibly has an infection in his brain. And the test for Covid19 hasn't even come back yet. I'm not allowed to see him because the hospital isn't allowing visitors, and my husband has lost the ability to use his phone, so I can't even talk to him. And that day started out so well too with a shipping notice from Iplehouse that my two FID ladies were finally on the way.

    15. Terrible that you can't be together. Hopefully they can stop the infection soon. Do you have support?

    16. @MB Lilac My prayers are with your husband and you for a good recovery.

    17. @MB Lilac joining the chorus of support. I hope you and your husband come out of this okay.

Beautiful photo, as always. I'm blown away by the quality of your sewing.

    18. Thank you all for your concern and support. I didn't want to highjack this thread with my personal problems, but had to say something. It's been extremely stressful and frustrating trying to get any updates because the hospital is overwhelmed right now, and they aren't allowing visitors.

My kids have been fantastic. My youngest son and his partner have been coming to spend the days with me. They have no kids, and work remotely from home, so were willing to risk having to be quarantined. We spent the afternoon making polymer clay 'medieval food' for future doll photos.

And to keep this thread on track, I'll add a photo I took last week.....
