1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 10

Sep 4, 2019

    1. Yes, I'd be heading to JeansbyJenna too is I wasn't sewing for my dolls. Her work is lovely! I am lucky enough to have some of her pieces. They fit well and are made well and look nicely realistic! Congratulations on your order! The Iple FID men are gorgeous :)

    2. Just catching up on this thread as I've been very busy but then, unfortunately, I lost my job so now I have a lot more time on my hands. :( But at least I'll have more sewing time! Now if only the FID boy and girl I ordered way back in December, when I had money, would arrive...

Loving seeing the pictures of everyone's dolls! MBLilac, all the outfits you've made are just so amazing and gorgeous, and so are the scenes you've set up for them! Medieval and Renaissance are just some of my favourite eras, it's so wonderful to see what you've made! I hope you and your husband are okay too - my thoughts are with you.

Rather liking Victor, the new FID - but thankfully I'm not tempted this time. If I could get just the weapons that would be a whole other matter, though!

    3. @morganatron - Thank you. I've been trying to occupy myself with my dolls while my husband is in the hospital, and have been taking lots of photos of my FIDs. The good news is that the doctors determined that he did not have a heart attack or stroke as they first thought, but that the infection from Hand, Foot and Mouth spread to his brain, and caused pneumonia as well. He's been transferred to another hospital for cognitive physiotherapy, and they say he should eventually be back to normal.

Today it's three weeks since I had to call 911, and I'm still not feeling that creative, so have decided to start one more medieval gown - a dark blue velour one - since that's pretty mindless. I've also introduced my BIDs into the scenes with the FIDs, but haven't posted any on my website yet, so can't link to them.

I did finish Rex's knight outfit, and switched Bianca back into the purple gown...

    4. Glad he will recuperate cognitively. Not so easy with stroke. I worked with stroke patients 20 years ago in grad school. I've read about hand, foot and mouth complications. It's another mean virus.

I'm glad you can distract yourself with the dolls. These costumes are the best! Perfect. โค๏ธ

    5. They look beautiful!!! Can't wait to see the new gown too!

I hope your husband recovers well and quickly - that must be very stressful. I hope you're going okay.

    6. Martha, i am so glad that your husband is recovering. I wish him all the best.

Love your Rex and Bianca. As always, stunning outfits and pictures.

    7. @MB Lilac - I am relieved to hear your husband is going to recover. And I've been so enjoying your current photos and the stunning outfits. It's been a feast for the eyes.

    8. Thank you everyone.

I included some BIDs in the latest scenes with my FIDs, just to see how they'd work. Personally I think it's not too bad, but I did pay attention to shoot the BIDs at 3/4 profile to help make their faces look smaller....

    9. Not bad!
Another tip: (With my camera lens at least), if I put larger heads in the background of the scene, and the FIDs in the foreground, I can get away with a 6-7" head in the scene.

    10. Yes, that works for me too, but I didn't want the BIDs always having to play in the background.

    11. @MB Lilac That's a gorgeous scene! I am very happy that your husband is recovering!

    12. Baron has found his true love at last....

Or more accurately, I've found her. for him...

    13. Beautiful scene and loved to see the little ones in the mix there too!

    14. Today I introduced a KID as well.....

    15. Oh I love this shot! The BJDs are so cute and that little knight is just adorable. The richness and detail in your shots is always a joy to peruse!

    16. Thanks! I'm quite happy with the way the BIDs and KIDs are looking in the scenes with my FIDs. They aren't perfect, but they are close enough, and will add a lot of possibilities for photo stories. However, I don't have much in the way of medieval type costumes for my smaller dolls, so I guess those will be my next project after I finish the new gown for Yur that I'm currently working on.

    17. Oh my gosh, this thread dropped off my notifications again! @MB Lilac, I love your combined scene with the BIDs and KIDs. The cohesive clothes and scenery distracts from any scale problems and it looks just great! I wish they would let us get BIDs and KIDs with heads shrunk down a bit to the 5-6 range--I remember someone started a thread about that on the Iplehouse website a while back, and it definitely has my support. I would probably buy 5, LOL. The bodies are much more in-scale with FID than with the SDs! They're the perfect size to be 5ish and 10ish. Maybe the new JID would make a great teenager to FIDs with a smaller head.

A couple of weeks ago I got my latest FID, Renata:

She's a Stella with the Opera B faceup in Ebony, and is my opera singer character who I have been wanting to shell for months. I can never quite capture how pretty her resin is in person! She's destined for a really elaborate wig which hasn't arrived yet. :)

    18. WOW! She is stunningly beautiful. Congrats:)
