1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. IpleHouse JiD Mini Discussion Part 19

Nov 26, 2017

    1. Made my boy a pair of pants so he could get out of the onesie I had made him in October.
With some luck they ended up fitting from free handing drawing a pattern on the fabric :whee:

    2. Hello this discussion seems a tad empty. I have a question about what other company doll outfits can fit the Jid girls? Iplehouse doesn't really have a selection like they used to have and Etsy kind of lacks in what I'm semi looking for. So I'd love more options :) Soon I'll be joining you all with proper pictures of my girl :)

    3. Yes, it is rather slow here. I think the FIDs have taken over as most people's favourite mid-size Iplehouse dolls. But I still love my JIDs....

Sorry, I can't help with clothing suggestions, since I make all my own.

    4. Some of the FID stuff works well for them. The FID's are a tad taller, so dresses will be longer on the JID's but they can certainly share lots of stuff. Here is my Tania in a SartoriaJ dress that was made for FID/Raccoon Dolls. SartoriaJ carries a lot of clothing that will probably work for them in FID size.

    5. Thank you for the bit of info! The girl im expecting has the new body. I'm not sure about her bust though since it looks like a large XD FIDs have certainly taken over most sizes for iplehouse sized outfits in a lot of places. Plus all the threads I found on DOA are for the old body mostly or for their boys. The new body type has very little info since it seems to be on its own range in general. Also not as popular also compared to the old body. Maybe its the childish look it has? I love the body type honestly.

I have little experience with their dolls but always admired iplehouse from a distance. I actually loved Asa years ago XD But not the girl im expecting. I'm getting Faline with hooves and antlers!

    6. I have neglected my Jids shamefully since the FIDs are in the house, but they did get some new clothes eventually. It's funny how large the heads look if you have been busy playing with the FIDs for such a long time...

      Experiments in dye..

    7. It's true. I have the same issue. My JIDs also seem to be rather bobble-headed now. But then I always knew that would happen if I got any FIDs. Oh well, I still love them, and have actually tried taking some photos with both in the picture. It actually works as long as the FIDs are in the foreground, and the JIDs are in the background.

    8. @MB Lilac I agree. I felt downright unfaithful for some time because I gave the FIDs so much attention and neglected the JIDs and my larger dolls. But once I start to make things for them again, actually spend time playing with them I see their qualities and feel the same appreciation I felt for them before the FIDs came. I just need to do that more often...

    9. @ResinRapture - The thing is, I have a lot of JIDs, KIDs and BIDs, and they work so well together. I've done all kinds of photo stories with them, in situations I doubt I'd ever put my FIDs. Those are beautiful, and elegant, and I'd never use them in the same way as I photograph the JIDs. My only wish is that Iplehouse would come out with a new, more mature guy. In my opinion Owen is their most mature, and I already have two of him. Some of my other ladies have had to make do with guys from other companies.

I figure one way that JIDs and FIDs could work together is if I make a Fantasy group as in LOTR where there were several different types of 'humans' together - elves, dwarfs, and humans - all in different scales. That is what I'm ultimately aiming for. I had wanted to take a group like that across the country to the Rockies for LOTR-like adventure photos, but I doubt that will be able to happen now. I'm going to have to make do with isolated places close to home this year.

    10. @MB Lilac I agree, Owen looks most mature, probably because his nose looks more like an adult nose than a kid's nose. Maybe you can use another Kyle and work with the mature features in his face- like the dimpled chin? And maybe Iple does come up with Kid-heads in proportion with the FIDs, and you could create new families.

Maybe you find some nice spots close to your home. If I remember correctly you have a garden, right?

    11. Yes I have a backyard, but it's totally dead right now, and surrounded by ugly fences. It works best in photos in summer when I can hide the fences. If my husband wasn't so sick we could drive up into the country where there is no one, and take doll photos. But right now I'm totally stuck at home.

I have one Kyle and feel he doesn't look all that mature. I'm going to try taking some photos mixing FIDs with all the other smaller IH dolls. After all, if people can combine them with the large dolls, pretending they are their kids, even though they are totally scale-wise too small, then why can't we suspend our disbelief and just accept the JIDs, KIDs and BIDs with the FIDs? I'm going to try it and see.

    12. Oh theres activity in here :D Since you seem to own the JID girls (anyone really) Where to find clothing for the new bodies? :( I keep only seeing FID clothing and thats not what I want lol. I have no experience in what else might fit too. I'm afraid of having to go custom order outfits for her since everyone has switched to FID (why not both? really).

I'll post a picture of her later on today. She has no eyes even at this time as the eyes she require are specialized :( Shes a deer Faline with hoofies and antlers!

Here's a photo of her hoofies until i can get a lovely face picture :)

    13. @Pooki I think the issue might be more the new body, the old JID body can share clothes with FIDs (on occasion it's a bit too long but usually easily fixable) but not many people have the new body yet so experiences are limited.

I'm currently just lurking, haven't switched to the FIDs but the MSDs are in time out currently
But I fully agree on Owen, I have one again now and he's truly the one proper mature JID sculpt.

    14. @Roterwolkenvogel that would make some sense. How long has the new body type been out? I know my girl is over a year old based on her COA So its def been longer then a year o.o

FIDs most likely took over instead so people actually haven't gotten any new JIDs since.

    15. @Pooki I don't think the new JID body was super popular, hence why no one can really chime in despite it being released like a year ago!

    16. I would never buy a JID with the new body. It's just a bigger version of the KID body, and definitely doesn't work with how I see my dolls as adults, not children.

    17. Same reason why I never went for it, I see my JIDs as adults too and the new JID is cute but as you said, just an upsized KID body.

    18. I get that for sure. The experience I've had even though its just a larger size of the kid body yes. The body poses really well It also looks really nice too for the shape XD just annoying for clothing in general lol I have my answer XD shes gonna need custom work if its to fit :(

    19. Poking in here to ask about JID boy clothes! I see that the girls can wear FID stuff, but does that work for the guys too?

I am expecting a Jud and am surprised to see so very few of him around! I am not a fan of the way Iple styled him with that super poofy wig and skinny pants+bulky top combo making him look rather top-heavy, but he looks quite mature and I am hoping he will work as an adult/parent figure for my tinies. :)

JID Dave looks very mature as well, but alas, I could only find one person with owner pics. He does look quite handsome though and I would love to see more of him. Again, not styled in the most flattering way by Iple though IMHO. :sweat

    20. @Dolly JID boys can wear FID stuff, but they'll be too long in the arms and legs. MB Lilac has some patterns on her website, and in the pattern section of the board are some as well.

@Roterwolkenvogel I agree- I didn't even know there's a new JID body. I see my Jids as teenagers, propably because they are part of families created around SID size.
