1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse New YID (nYID) Discussion - VI

Jan 22, 2015

    1. Jumping in with a picture of Andy dressed for a photostory I'm working on. He's playing the role of Lucas, a prince who's been missing for five years. He borrowed Josh's wig and I found the shirt at an antique shop. Amazed the thing even fits him. Made the crown and the necklace.

    2. Handsome young prince! Anteja, your Chris is handsome too :love

    3. Awwwwe. Sweet boys! Well, I can join in with this girl now:

Emilia, NS, faceup A. Wig is from Leeke; the colour is a near perfect match with her eyebrows. However, to my astonishment, she looked superb is -every- wig style and colour I tried on her! I've never had a doll be so adaptable before.

    4. I don't think I have seen an Emilia before! She's super pretty!

    5. so few of these! I love her... she would have been my first if not for the 'extra stuff' that came with Bliss lol.. I even have her floating and am hoping for a club member to paint her for me before fall? She is gorgeous... especially in that dress (Bliss's next change actually lol). You must share more of her!

Do you think Luna's face A (colors more than exact shapes) would work on Emilia?

    6. Hi ! Is the nyid boy body double jointed? If so, can someone pls kindly posy a pic of those joints bent to full extent? Been searching for a while now :)

    7. I don't know what joints you mean are double jointed but both of the knees and elbows are. I don't have any reference pictures of my boy with his arms/legs bent and can't get him out to take pictures but I'm sure someone on here will help you out that way :)

    8. hi! may I know if the iplehouse nyid girl can stand solidly on her feet?
      thank you

    9. Sure they can. But like with every doll, I'd still be careful in case they decide to fall ^^;

    10. Well... yes, if you get her legs straight and ankles straight. If you do, they can be solid standers, but they do take getting used to. Especially the ankles. *mutters about pretty but uncooperative ankles* But in fairness, if you get it all straight, the joints do lock well together.

    11. My YID girl stands best of all my dolls and holds poses that would make me nervous if it was the others (I have all Iples).

    12. mine stood for me out of the box (rare for me cuz I don't usually have that luck) but as she has loosened up she is 'less' reliable.. however she has learned a new trick... she can stand in her 'bare HEEL feet'... It all depends on stringing and your ability to get the doll balanced.

    13. Yeah as Lady Tiku said it depends on you and the doll. I have a lot of patience and take it slow when posing them so I can get them sturdy. Even my super loose JID old body girl can stand solid as a rock with the right amount of time spent posing her. If you're too worried about it doll stands are a good back up :)

EDIT: Here's a picture of my girl, Lacie, standing. She's wearing nYID boy sneakers and on her flat feet. Ignore my puppy in the background, we had to put the gate up so he wouldn't come over and chew on the dolls.

    14. Srry for the double post but quick question; the Blanche satin dress doesn't fit small bust YID girls acording to Iple, anyone out there with a small bust YID and the dress willing to try it on for me and see how it fits? I need a long pretty dress for Lacie and the newest one is too expensive and big, and I want something with some blue in it. Only problem is Lacie is small bust. If it's loose in the top I don't care I just want to know if it looks bad on.
      Thanks!!

    15. Guess who got a stay of execution? I had planned to sell Chris--he's been listed on the marketplace for most of the time I've owned him--but I've been rethinking my collection in terms of size and have decided to let the SIDs go instead. So Chris is back, hopefully to stay. (That's provided I don't change my mind again.)

I did try to bend his elbow joints fully in this pic, but it's hard to do when the doll is fully dressed. I had to feel my way through the shirt. When he finally got into position, he did hold the pose. He's trying to see a way out of the forest. Photostory will appear on my blog next Sunday.

    16. ceejay, your Juan is wicked cute! I want one.

      Is he real skin?

    17. Yes he is :) I have stalked him for a very long time .... :nosebleed

    18. I had that moment of "hold up the JID joints are in no way easier than the big dolls" but then I remembered that... Rose is... on the old body... so uh... yeah... lol not helpful
I love my dolls dearly but I hate their elbows. All of them. Lacie's are the easiest and Andy's are the hardest.

    19. The elbow joints are definitely easier to manipulate on the new-body JIDs. However, if your doll is wearing long sleeves, you will still do a bit a fumbling through the shirt fabric. On the plus side, the joints are not at all hard to pull out, unlike the elbow peanuts on the bigger dolls. I usually get a peanut halfway out before it retreats, but not before it bites my finger first. Yeah, I don't like them, either.
