Evan basic!!!
He looks like Akando, and this body is gorgeus! I love him!!! I put him in my wishlist... oh my god I need to save. LOL

I've kind of been thinking the same thing. I wasn't really digging the EID boys until I saw owner pictures on here. I think it's seeing the range of possibilities that opens up your eyes to them a bit more.

I think that Akando and Evan look really similar, but oooh man, I'm really starting to want one. They're so much different than the normal style of doll!

 

I just got my Akando in NS around 2/12 (really late, I think it is because that I ordered at the last week before the event end), and just got the news that I can get my Evan full set no later than next week or the week after next week. Really exciting!!! I'm lucky that order the Evan in real skin cau's I don't like him in normal skin, just don't like.....

 

Glad to hear you got your Evan. A bunch more of them just shipped out, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of them soon. In the mean time, this page will tell you about how to post pictures.

 

My evan is here too!!! I promise pics soon, I wonder if they are so alike as I thought, or they really don't ressemble each other... argh, I can't wait to arrive home and open da big box XD.

Anyway, don't you think it's surprising that iple makes akando wear 16mm eyes, and evan 14?

Yay! I finally got mine last Friday! I posted pics here .

There are pics of the blank head if anyone is curious about that.

Unfortunately he has some monster seam lines that will have to go. Both the magnets in his head popped out too, but that was easy to fix.

 

Has anybody else looked at their special edition and though wow, what drugs is he doing? The eyes that came with my Evan are tiny in comparison to his face and he looks very dear in the headlights. So I substituted a pair of spare 16mm eyes I had here and WOW he looks much better!

Can someone pls tell me the pros and cons of Mobility and General Thigh joints?
I can't decide which one to choose ><

I don't know about the thigh joint with IH but My DZ boy has one leg that always seems to be turning around, so I opted to not get that joint on Tamas.

I have heard the same thing happening with mobility joint (keep turning around) so I guess I can get general type... hmmm. I wonder how often I'd get my boyz to sit down cross legged....?

 

I've got the mobility joint. I don't think you're going to be able to get your doll to sit crosslegged without it. I think it also helps with sitting in general if you can pop out the mobility joint. Mine can sit completely unsupported and I hear that some people have trouble with this and have to prop them up with their hands or against something. I have had the top part of the leg turn backwards on me, which makes it difficult if not impossible for the doll to stand until you put it back where it should be. That hasn't happened often though, and I will definately get the mobility joint if I get another EID.

And YAY! Finally a database for these guys. Thanks. About the eyes, I have 14mms in, and I like them, I think the irises are maybe even a bit smaller than the default eyes. A lot of people with Akandos like 12mms in them even though they came with 16s, so I was even thinking about trying a pair of 12s to see what they would look like! I think it's a matter of personal preference, but the bigger ones make him look very cute and doe-eyed. Not a bad thing at all.

Yes, I've also heard about sitting posture is difficult on general-joint. I haven't seen these boys with my own eyes (in person) so I don't quite understand 'pop out the mobility joint' but if they can do sitting posture unsupported, that maybe a good advantage! hmmm...
but if these boys are wearing jeans or somewhat tight pants, even with the mobility joint, the movement is limited, right? so unless I play with them naked (lol) would you say I don't need mobility?

Yeah, That's true. I hadn't thought about that because I've made all my guys clothes, so I gave him a bit of wiggle room in the thighs.

 

I have 16mms in Tamas. Both the brown and his current blues are 16mm. I, personally, felt that the 14mms made him look too deer in the headlights (as I noted in the upper post).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Elder Iple House boys. I would like to Buy Akando so bad. Money is really tight so I am making clothing to sell and will have to wait and see how I can afford him. It took me months to save for Barron. Hope it doesn't take me as long to be able to buy an Elder Boy.
