1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Is it getting harder to find good doll stuff on Ebay?

Apr 16, 2010

    1. I love boggie0909 too. I highly recommend them. They also have excellent communication with buyers. I'm a loyal customer and always go back for more custom orders. They do a great job every time I order. Coolcat is another great seller on ebay. Other than the specific companies that I order from there's really nothing new or unique on ebay anymore.

I bought 2 of my BJD from ebay a long time, 1 used and 1 new. I don't see many 2nd hand dolls being sold anymore though and I'm always on ebay.

    2. This! Ebay is a goldmine for certain types of 18" doll stuff- if you know what you're looking for it's a major win in the furniture/accessory department.

    3. I've found there's not very much variety. There's mostly dolls from big brands on there, and not too many smaller brands. I also noticed the lack of used bjd items, which makes me sad since I used to find such unusual knick knacks for my dolls :\

    4. I purchased my boy from ebay 2 years ago now but I think it was a fluke that I was able to get him for the deal I got (DZ Fei for ~$150 with face-up, wig, 2 outfits). I haven't seen to many reasonable priced outfits on ebay that weren't from people like releaserain, mimiwoo, boggie0909. The seller violetheavensky has some handmade items of good quality but she's the only one I've seen on there that is still listing regularily.
As for second-hand dolls, my boy is the only real deal I've seen. There has been a few listed by those "ebay seller" companies... the ones that list your stuff for you and take a fee/commission for selling. But those guys put me off sometimes you don't get much info on the doll other very basic info. Other than that, most of the dolls I see make me wonder if the seller is legit, if the mold is a copy... etc. So unless I come across another fluke sale, I use ebay as a reference but I intended to buy direct or from DOA
