For sure. I had them in a bag with my DikaDoll jointed hands so I grabbed those as a counterpoint. The Resinsoul ones are the ones in white. Both are supposed to be for female dolls. First really good thing about the Resinsoul ones. The fingers don't randomly turn around on you. Because they've all got their little niches they physically cannot rotate the way you can see one of the pinkies on the DikaDolls hands have. You can get some pretty stable flexing of even the fingertip joint although getting that to stay that way longterm is iffy without wiring. Gripping. I might have just got lucky because my hands came really nicely strung. Great balance of being tight enough to actually grip things but not too tight to be constantly moving out of position. The ink cartridge was what I had to hand that was the right size to be gripped and while it's not heavy, the hands did have really quite a good hold on it. I gave it a shake and they didn't let go. I didn't manage to get it on camera but I tried the same thing with the DikaDoll hands and they were much less cooperative. Sizing. The doll is an Iplehouse FID because she was what I had to hand (the wig is over the face mostly so my camera wouldn't auto-focus on her). The hands themselves don't look comically oversized but the wrists are a lot more massive than her regular hand making them very obvious. If you've got sanding tools and appropriate respiratory protection you probably could sand them down so they'd be more inclined to fit into the wrist cavity a lot better. Of the two pairs of jointed hands I've got, they are by far and away my favourite. I mostly bought them as an experiment and I'm really glad I did even if they don't actually match the resin colour of any of the dolls I have.
Thank you for the pictures @Crissaegrim! They look really nice, maybe I'll order a pair and see how they feel in use.
Hi all! I'm considering getting some jointed hands for one of my dolls. I would like some advice to help me figure out which ones would be best. From the pictures posted, the Resinsoul ones look like they'd work nicely since I'm looking for a bigger size hand. Also a bonus if they have a good resin match for Dollshe Oriental skin. Here's my doll's original hand measurements:
@Fiesty_Fennec if you're looking for solid hands that come in many poses, try LUTS hands. For several of their sizes, they have hands in various poses. I have a couple dolls who use LUTS hands for the poses.
I can't confirm sizing or posing for Resinsoul, but I can confirm they offer a color matching service that can be ordered from them directly!
Oh wow, that's super helpful, thank you! Just need to figure out the sizing then. I'm looking at Hand-04 and Hand-02 on the Resinsoul website. Hand-02 is apparently for 1/3 dolls but the measurement seems closest to what I need. Much confuse I wonder if the hand length listed on the webpage includes that little ball joint? I'm guessing it does? If so, maybe I could get those and then just sand it down a bit to create a smaller wrist. I would need 4.5cm wrist size.
