1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Keeping a personal database of dolls you don't own

Dec 6, 2009

    1. Not weird to like and keep track of other people's dolls, I think.

I wouldn't exactly keep a database... but I do notice other dolls. I sometimes download images (not to post anywhere, but just for personal reference--I have a horrible memory without that). And I do like to see pictures of sculpts that I own. It's just fun to see what other people do and how different and beautiful they all are! :D

I don't get all stalker-y, but really, if someone is a fan of a certain sculpt or a certain doll, as long as they are being cool, it's usually a nice thing.

    2. Haha, I don't think it's creepy. It's just showing your interest to other people's dollies. ^^

    3. I keep a sort of personal database for the dolls I hope to get in the future. With the image I include the sculpt name, the name of the company, the doll's height, the wig size, and the eye size. I do this more for grins than anything.

    4. I really like collecting pictures of other people's dolls! It really helps me find inspiration regarding either the style or faceup I would want my doll to have.
