1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

La Legende de Temps - Ahaz

Mar 2, 2013

    1. I'm doomed. Plain and simple. DOOMED! *howls*
Uh, I have no Instagram account. Would anyone here who has one be willing to help me out and ask if you can order the body with both heads? Cos that would be, like, a dream come true!

    2. Done, because I was wondering the same thing. ;)

    3. @St. James - Thanks! She'll consider it. That's great! :D

    4. I really hope he's available as just the head too! As much as I like the body I know I will not be able to afford a full doll by May ;A;

    5. New photos!!

      WITH A FACEUP!! :D

      julia cross

      Ahaz: Ahaz

Ludwig, on the new body dressed and in normal skin resin: Ludwig

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the general LLT thread too. But whatever, bottom line Julia's work looks fantastic and I'm excited to see more!

(Excited in a watching from the sidelines way, mind you, because I have recently purchased two dolls and so I'm going to control myself and not order any more dolls for a while. Besides, between LLT, EID, Soom, and Pygmalion my head is spinning and I cannot bring myself to a firm decision on which of the realistic 70cm-range sculpts I want to bring home...)

    6. I still don't see it show how to order them on the website even though it says in the news section that they go on preorder May first. Help!

    7. They're not for preorder, yet. On Facebook, Julia said "soon" and when I asked, confirmed that Ahaz and Ludwig will be released at the same time. You can follow her here:

    8. Thanks, I was driving myself nuts thinking I might have missed it. People have been waiting four years for these guys so what's a few more weeks ...........or could it be longer, I wonder. My fear is I will have just spent the money and then they go on sale.

    9. There are new posing pictures on her Facebook and flickr. I like the knees but I ain't fond of the elbows. Still, I am happily surprised.
Edit: as LLT offers full dolls now, could we have a general SD thread covering all of them?

    10. Julia has estimated a price as a reply to someone's question on FB: "It would be about 750 USD for a nude whole doll. (not include shipping fee)"

Not bad. And I love that shade of tan they have. I'm pleasantly surprised that the knee joint looks good when flexed, but I'm meh about the elbows and chest joints, wish the joint engineering was a little more integrated and didn't have that chopped-apart look. I positively adore the legs on this body! I was on the fence about getting a Soom Idealian body (the price is quite good secondhand, so it was tempting) and maybe putting together an Iplehouse/Soom hybrid, but I don't quite like Idealian's legs which give an impression of graceless bulk. By contrast, LLT body's legs are proportionately muscular but are sculpted with a great deal more fluidity, they are not only powerful-looking but elegant.

I am so glad it is not a limited edition. I will wait to see owner photos and different faceups before I commit to a decision.

Also, love that Julia made a post just to say the resin leaf of modesty is removable and does come with the doll. Can't wait to see custom painting modesty leaves become a new trend in the bjd fandom, heh.

I agree with @Lilla, it makes sense to have one thread for all LLT dolls.

    11. I'd love it if the outfits in the promo pictures could be bought as part of a full set. I've fallen in love with that look for Ludwig.

    12. Hi there, I’m thinking about getting Ahaz, but I was wondering if anyone had his 75 cm body and could talk about his poseability? I’d like to see his range of movement before committing. Thank you!

    13. I can say that it's one of the finest doll bodies I've ever owned. Not only are the joints thoughtfully engineered, they are also beautifully sculpted. He can't curl up that way some slimmer dolls with a lot of joints can, but it also means that he never looks weird or broken in any pose.

    14. thank you for that vote of confidence! Unfortunately the ebay listing for him I found was out of date, and he really is no longer available. I’ll keep an eye out in case he’s re-released!

    15. When I was dying my LLT doll, I noticed some parts in the joints became shiny and took the dye stronger, I then managed to scratch it off

I think what it is, is that LLT coats the joints with a silicone like material because it grips nicely and holds poses very nicely. Its not silicone though, but it felt rubbery almost. Its a very thin layer that I had not noticed until after I dyed the body

Also, the resin feels like velvet to the touch, it does not look hard and solid like most resins

I really dont think anyone would be disappointed in getting Ahaz or the LLT Muscle body, its a great poser as St.James mentioned

He also has the nicest butt of all the male BJD's in my opinion

Im pretty sure Ludwig and Ahaz are basic dolls, that get released on rotation, Im guessing the next preorder period is in the summer like the past 2 releases of the full dolls. It also looks like we will be getting a slender version released this time with the muscle bodies :)
