Latidoll Black Line Discussion

Perfect! Thank you so much! I asked to see how well the fullset outfit work fit on some other boy dolls, and now I know! Yay!

 

Well I placed my Istvan order according to their layaway instructions and requested an invoice for the deposit on their Q&A, but I got sent an invoice for the total amount instead? I hope that was just a mistake or an automated thing, because I don't want my order to end up cancelled before they've seen my message and I definitely can't pay the full amount in one go. I know they're on holiday at the moment, so it will probably be a few days before they finish catching up on the Q&A board. I wish more companies had automated layaway like Soom.

Yikes! I really do hope that mistake is cleared up soon.... Are you getting him in normal skin or tan skin? I'd be interested in seeing the normal skin Istvan contrasted with the tan Istvan.

As for me... My current financial situation isn't letting me even put Istvan on layaway...which is sad, because he's so perfect for this one character in my head. I'll just hope that a tan skin Istvan shows up secondhand later in, like, a year when I'm done with school and in a better financial situation.

 

I bought him in tan resin, with faceup, outfit and shoes but no fantasy parts.

I think I'll add a reply to my Q&A entry mentioning that invoice, and hopefully they'll cancel it and send me the correct one.

Edit: I went to my PayPal account and the invoice is listed as cancelled. Panic over! Now I just have to wait for their English staff to get through 6 pages of messages and answer mine.

 

That's fantastic, Selidor! I hope they answer soon. How long is your layaway, btw? It seems like Lati has never had an option for layaway before...

 

Largo had layaway, so I think it's only the Black Line dolls. I suppose they're so much more expensive than the smaller dolls that they wouldn't get as many orders without it. I have a two month layaway, so three parts including the deposit.

I hope you manage to get an Istvan eventually.

 

Oh, so the months in the layaway don't include the month the deposit was made? I seriously thought it did... That's good to know.

I recieved my Largo last Wednesday after waiting 5 1/2 months, however the wings are missing from my order. They said they would send them at a later date (the date they gave me has already come and passed, which I've come to expect from Lati after this order). My OE Largo head's left ear was broken upon removing the bubblewrap, so I sent Lati a message about this and sent a picture. If the only option is to send the head back and wait for them to finish another head, I will just keep the one I have and do my best to repair it. I don't plan on selling him, and I'm fed up with their communication. Example: They told me that they would ship my order in a week when I inquired and said that they were having problems with the blushing on the wings. It was actually 2 months later when he finally shipped. And I'm still missing the wings.

Please forgive my rant- on to the positive. The outfit quality is excellent, I would say equivalent to Soom (I only have Largo's feathery fantasy outfit). The face-up and blushing is also wonderful, quite stunning, actually, and I would say it's better than my default Soom LE face-ups. I am glad to have my Largo (well, almost all of him), and Istvan is really gorgeous. I just want others to know about my ordering experience. I hope all of you will have much better luck than I have

Ouch! O_O I'm so sorry you had problems with Lati, AmberLeigh. I've already heard they're really slow about shipping stuff, but that...that's awful At least he's repairable and that he still looks great!

 

Wow, that's quite the wait, and a lot of problems too! It's a shame your Largo's ear was chipped, but it looks like the blushing didn't and it seems to be a clean break, so hopefully he shouldn't be hard to repair.

I'm definitely glad I didn't go for the fantasy parts, what with the chipped blushing on previous pages and now the missing wings. It's nice to see a positive review for their outfits and faceups, since those are the extras I did order.

I'm glad I got my Istvan on a fairly short layaway. The last time I waited 5 months for a doll was when Angelheim went out of business. Hopefully I'll see him before the end of 2013.

 

Aw, AmberLeigh, I'm sorry about that broken ear and the inconsistent communication. Luckily, as Selidor said, it looks like the ear tip should be a clean fix since the blushing is still okay, and let's hope those wing parts reach you safely (and soon)!

My Sesshoumaru!Largo is finally kinda-sorta put together, and I took some pictures this weekend. I'll be posting a gallery thread later on, but in the meantime, here's a preview of sorts? 8D

me too I've a sesshomaru, a migidoll vampire miho ws a few year ago, but when the head arrived at home, I didn't bond with it and I sell it

 

meili-melee, although I'm not a huge Sesshoumaru fan, your doll looks grest! I love the face-up, too!

 

Thanks everyone for your replies. I bought some fresh super glue and easily repaired the break. He just has a small dent from the impact but it's not very noticible. I think I'll just blush over it to help cover up the white fracture line. If anything, I hope Lati will take necessary precautions to prevent other ears from breaking, since it looks like Istvan also has pointy ears, though not quite as much as Largo.

I think you will be very pleased with the outfits and face-ups, Selidor. I plan on sealing the fantasy parts myself because of the chipping issues once it warms up. I think the face-up is sealed better, especially since the ear broke before the blushing chipped haha.

I forgot to mention that my Largo is very accurate when comparing the original pictures, which is always nice. I may make a gallery of him this week to show his face-up, mask and hammer blushing and outfit details since the Black Line is gaining more interest.

meili-melee, your Largo is incredible! I absolutely love his face-up, he is the best Sesshoumaru I've seen!

 

It looks like Lati accidentally set Istvan to sold out according to their original schedule instead of the new one! I'm now really glad that I didn't wait until Tuesday to place my order, although I'm sure he'll go up for sale again when they realise what happened.

meili-melee, your Largo's faceup looks great! The sculpt works really well for Sesshoumaru.

Anyone order Istvan?
I ordered mine the first day he's listed on sale LOL, I just had to get him. His promo pics on the site really nailed me on love I wonder how long Lati usually ready to ship their doll after payment? The site list a 2 months waiting time but I learn not to trust on what the company claims on the waiting line this day :P

 

I ordered Istvan, and there are a couple of others over in the waiting room thread. I haven't ordered from Lati before so I can't speak for their waiting times, beyond that I've heard they can be very slow to ship.

 

Hi everyone! I recieved Largo's wings yesterday and they are beautiful, so that part is resolved. I sent Lati pictures of his broken ear twice but I haven't heard anything back. So I've come to accept it, and despite this I am completely in love with him. He's utterly gorgeous, and one of my favorite dolls.

From different angles, he can look like he's content, smirking, angry, or gentle. His gaze can melt a heart of ice I have him without the headband and necklace for now. Here is a quick picture of my Largo (named Aberdeen, unless I can find something to suit him better):



For those curious about wait times, I waited about 6 months total, since I ordered on Sept. 14th, and on March 12th was when I received my complete order (I ordered everything except for the shoes and ceremonial outfit). I would expect a 3 month wait minimium if you ordered any options, but be prepared for much longer.
