1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Leaving your dolls in the box over a period of time

Oct 1, 2009

    1. My one and only doll stays in his box most of the time. I think its mainly because i'm over fussy about him getting damaged :/ I love to get him out tho XD Another reason he stays in the box is because whenever he is out my family gives me murderous stares haha ... (They cant stand my boy :'c sadly)

    2. Training works with dogs, but cats can be such a different story. Some cats are so independent and playful that overtraining would be cruelty. My cats always use the litter box so in that sense they're trained perfectly well - but they love to climb and jump, and things WILL get knocked over. If something's not safe, I consider it my fault for placing it in an unsafe place...but I don't feel bad for not "training" them. I want happy cats, not miserable defeated creatures skulking around afraid of me. (Knowing my cats, that'd probably never happen anyway... ) So I have to make adjustments, but my dolls are still out for me to enjoy, safe on their high shelves.

Dusty and smoky environments really are difficult. I just moved from an apartment in an old building, which had an equally old ventilation system and poor insulation, so dust was plenty and smoke from other apartments got into mine. It's hard to realize what an awful effect that stuff can have on your environment until you're out of it. The building I'm in now is actually older than my previous one, structurally, but the INSIDES have been fully rebuilt and replaced. The difference is shocking. I keep walking around, looking at things, going "Where's the dust?" Better for my health, and better for the dolls and their clothes too. If I need to live in a smoky place again (I lived with my father for a while, and he's a heavy smoker) then I'd definitely want to pack my dolls away most of the time. Smoke can yellow painted walls very badly, so I can imagine the effect on resin wouldn't be very nice either.
