i dont have one... but maybe i can help. can you be more specific about her problems or post pics? how have you strung her? have you tried loosening her up? or tightening her... or even thicker strings?

 

Ah! It kind of makes me sad... First luts discountinued their Delf line (my favorite!) now leeke is discountinuing ALL of their basic dolls. it makes me sad that companies are resorting to these desperate actions. I ordered a wig for my Florence through a friend who is ordering a doll. i want to order an ashley too... but i cant. i shouldnt even have purchased my florence... im so bad!

 

I feel like her legs flail. I'v tried stringing her tight and more loose. I don't believe it's her strings because i just got her new strings, and her arms are fine, her legs are just weird. It's like they just don't lock into place very well. And there is no gear that locks into place at her thigh, so it like spins. Do you think sueding would help?

 

I would have thought the Delf line would be back again by now, too.. hope Leeke does bring their basics back in a rotating roster type fashion at least, or something. They weren't very clear about the whole thing.
Anyway I can't wait for my Mong and my Florence to get here! I've ordered a Little Monica body for them to share (hope it fits!). I'm going to have to hide the unpainted Florence head from boyfriend though cos I know it'll freak him out hahha, just until I get her painted and find a wig for her. I get the feeling that I'm not gonna fully realise how large the 11in heads are until I have one in my hand.

 

Sueding might help. but it depends on how the thigh parts fit in each other? a thin bead of hot glue smoothed out should add friction to keep the parts from swinging around though.

yeah i guess bringing the basics back on a rotating basis (kind of like soom's once a month stuff) is alright. and the head is big... but its not tooo much bigger then a round sd head (think Volks SD... the older ones whose heads are bigger) or Blythe if your familiar with her. I could snap a pic of an msd doll with a Blythe if you like and send it via PM if you want a comparison?

 

Nah it's all good, I can look at pictures til the cows come home but until I actually see it in the flesh (so to speak). It'll be like when I got my Feeple65, knowing she was going to be big. I had seen all the pictures but hen she arrived home she was just soooooooo bigggggg.
That and Blythes creep me the heck out

 

they used to creep me out too! but now i really like em. LOL

 

I have a gentle body for my M-type Luna. I noticed she stands better when she is wearing shoes. I've had her for almost 6 months now with the original stringing, so I have not loosened nor tightened her. What I did notice is that one of her legs is shorter than the other, maybe this is a problem for your doll too? Try hot-glue sueding; I find that sueding always helps a doll hold positions better.

 

About the wig sizing for the bigheaded girls,Blythe wigs are size 10-11 generally to allow for the cap and hair to be put in to the wig net. They can wear a 9-10(just like a pullip) when they don't have the rooted hair cap. I am going to try just buying a Blythe wig for my two girls to see the fit.

 

Isserly - could I possibly ask to see a little picture of your Luna? I find her very hard to find pictures of.

 

Yes, of course! I will get right on that. And, yes, it is difficult to find pictures of her. But, I love, love, love her.

 

I got mine secondhand, and when she arrived, it was horrible! She might as well not have had any stings in at all. But once i restrung her, it helped but she still is all weird. She can somewhat stand with shoes on, but it takes a lot of effort on my part.( Which isn't bad, but it irritates me because she can barely sit up if there isn't anything behind her). I think i might just get her a new body...

 

This is my WS Luna on a Gentle Body. Her name is Viola. Leekeworld did the face-up and it is beautiful. Viola is also wearing a special order style and color wig from Leekeworld's summer wig sale.

 

Sounds like my D-type Mint; can't stand to save her life. But then I have another D-type on a different style body (that doesn't have the little hip ball joints cut... does that make sense?) and she stands like a rock.
I'm sorry that the body isn't working out for you Hope it doesn't wreck your dolly bond. I'll et you know how the Little Monica Hybrid goes when all the parts are here!

Thank you! I love her big eyes. I had to go look up Mong and I bet you are right; she could be the awake version. Of course, now would be the time to make the purchase.

Hey, guys. I know I kind of showed up out of the blue (uninvited lol) but I was wondering if I could ask a few questions. I couldn't tell on the website, but since there's only a month and I have to like...eat and stuff, I was wondering if leeke has a layaway option. Also, would a Mabel head be disproportionate with a slim MSD body?

 

Yeah, i think it's because the way the thigh connects to the hip there aren't any grooves that stop it from swiveling around.( if that's what you meant)
Ofcourse not, i love her so much already i couldn't think about selling her!

 

Does anyone have a link to a skin tone chart? I can't seem to find one, even using the search function. I'd like to know the difference between the three skins offered since two of them sound like paper white to me. XD Thanks!

 

PuffsxPlus: I found this photo, which looks like it might help you decide. Ohh and this! Looks like Mabel would be a perfect resin match on an Asleep Eidolon body, if any slim mini plans don't work. I hope this helps somewhat!
