I just ordered an in-stock Florence on an art body from DDE and I'm very confused which discussion thread I should be on. Is this the right one?

There were other threads? I did a search but this was the only open thread I found. But this does not seem to be quite right. Are these dolls not popular? I see them go up on the MP and get sold fairly quickly. Gee even the doomed C-line has a thread of its own! It's because of you and Xhanthi that I've wanted a Florence so badly, elsii. Xhanthi and I were talking about Blythes one day and she sent me a link to Clarice, where I quickly discovered Florence (I'm a sucker for dreaming faces.) but you know me, I'm an exclusive Fairyland person. Then you put pictures of your beautiful Florence up on Flickr and I swear I was ready to buy a plane ticket to go halfway round the world if you said the word. Now I'm trying to figure out clothes and shoes for the art body. Any suggestions? Anyone?
I think there was an Art body thread but it was a Project Doll thread mostly aimed at the Mikhaila dolls... I could be wrong. I am often wrong. I think there is so little talk of them here because only half the heads are on topic (it may be less than half now, actually) but I have my Florence on a standard body, not the Art one so I figure she belongs here, rather than the A-line discussion if there is one and it doesn't make sense for the same doll to be discussed in two different places, right? I dunno... has headache... going to bed now. Everyone else feel free to chime in! No really. And while we're on the subject napria... pretty sure I did tell you to come on over and steal her any time you liked hehe glad you're getting a Flo of your own though, does she have a faceup? And how did you get out of resin rehab for this one?
Yep, elsii, you did tell me to steal her and despite having one of my own on her way, I'm still tempted! I love your "Mademoiselle EggHead" lol. As for getting out of resin rehab, I'm still in it . I would order my blank F65 Siean in a heartbeat if I were allowed -- and if I had the funds. But I got a small bonus at work so Florence was in my means. And yep, I got her with the softer faceup. I wanted Xhanthi to do her faceup, but I also wanted to snatch her up before she was sold out and I am going to a con Friday with three BJD events sooo... I went for the faceupped one. I may still have her wiped and redone. I hope your headache went away. I fear reading my ramblings won't help!
Hi! I'm joining this thread for the first time. I'd like to introduce everyone to my first BJD, Tino. She's a Leekeworld Lana (on a KDF girl body).
Got the box on Friday, put it in the car and drove to the convention, opened her Saturday after the BJD breakfast, took her to the main meetup event on Saturday evening and the Sunday morning BJD wrap up meet. Now we're back home and I'm exhausted. But here's a quick phone picture. She's very kicky, difficult to dress and not at all good at posing. Despite all this I absolutely love her. Hello Fellow-Leeke-lovers! It's been a while, but I'm back I saw some lovely Mabel's and Florance's, so I couldn't stop myself commenting!!! My first bjd was a M type Judy head in ws, that I ordered in a blind doll event. Last year I ordered judy in ns full on a gentle body. But when I put my ws Judy on the ns gentle body, I see no difference in skin tone . My ws Judy was not used that often and was always boxed, so it has no yellowing... Maybe leeke's ns became lighter?

Just think of another Florence as half a Siean. Perhaps that will dissuade you... for now hehe I've picked up my Art Body girl from the PO a few days ago, and I have the day off today to fiddle and play SHe'll be up on my Flickr later if anyone wants to drop by.

You're absolutely right, elsii. And in a way I'm liking my new girl so much, partly because she's so unique. With her, one is probably enough. I really need to focus on getting that second Siean home. Thanks Hologramme. My girl is currently wearing a YoSD size dress that snaps all the way down the back. Has anyone is this group hybrided the artbody with different joints and the such? I have seen some success with MNF parts and I am currently looking for mnf ankles and feet. I was wondering if anyone had tried it also.

Chibi I've got 14 Fairyland dolls, and I thought I'd hate the artbody, but I am actually enjoying its quirkiness, so no hybriding for my girl. Random spam of Elise.
