Maudib05 i love what you did with Mabel on the A body. I'm so behind on working on my dollies and I'm thinking on getting Mong, I just haven't decided on what body to get.
I changed Gemini's look with a different wig and different eyes! I LOVE her even more!!!! Gemini by pookinopolis, on Flickr
Emsinnot, I'm totally jealous that your girl can stand unaided! I tried re stringing my girl but she still flops like a marionette. The wig and eyes look brilliant. This is what I love about these girls, just the change of a wig or eyes can create a whole new character. Love them to bits :-)
PrincessStarburst- Thank you! And don't give up on your girl just yet as far as standing and posing! I restrung my first one, and on this one just pulled the stringing up tighter but it's that top joint that likes to flop the most. I actually have something in the back to help it, I'll have to take pictures of it. I was actually planning on making a notch out of epoxy to help with the posing; if that works I'll post pix of that too
emsinnott I would love to see those photos as well. My doll is a OT one, but I have similar problems with her
IMG_0230 (2) by pookinopolis, on Flickr I put a little metal piece but I would NOT recommend this because you could scratch the resin! I plan on making a little notch here (this is her upper back joint) to help her pose better!
Oh! I just want to share this picture with you all! Here is Gemini on the left... IMG_0235 by pookinopolis, on Flickr
More Night Wear Kenner finally got a body of her own she she wanted to show it off. Model: Kenner my Leekeworld Ashley Details: two piece set lined with blue checked cotton lawn. Exterior is a dark blue Polka Dot Lace from MiniJijo an Etsy Store. Off the rack pink velvet flower with synthetic pearl All hand sewn by Me.
Kenner with her night wear looks so cute! Do you have posing problem with Kenner like everybody else with their Leeke's A-type girl?
Not really...I have 3 art bodies and all are really rock solid. I didn't restring them either The upper torso is a little floppy which is exaggereted by the wait of the head. Because of the torso issue the head would also flop Around with it. However I added real suede to the neck base to counter balance the floppiness of the middle torso. The Middie torso could use some flanges or something to stop the hyper extended motion, but I kinda like the range. It allows for great lounging shots. Like this Model: Keane my LW Florence Underwear also handsewn by me
I think if there was a Flange or stopper added to the middle torso, it couldn't twist like this..... Model: Lynn Lizzie my LW Mabel on a LW Art Body But this is my Fav pose Model: Keane my LW Florence Outfit all hand sewn by me Sorry for all the pictures...they are reference for the posability of the LW Art Body
I like them! Seeing those poses has given me reason to pause on making any little epoxy latches/flanges/stoppers...
No problem..here's more of them standing Body Conscious Models: Lynn Lizzie my LW Mabel on a LW Art Bodyin NS (back left) Keane my LW Florence in Pure Rose (back right) Kenner my LW Ashely upon NS (front/center) Details: All outfits handsewn by me
I actually got my off topic girl to stand last night! I was so excited. I tightened her string up and it has made all the difference. I really love the look of the Pure Rose skin. I think my next girl will be this colour............next girl? what next girl?..........I'm doomed!
