1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I have a doll who has mismatched feet and can't stand right, I enjoy taking her out for photos and trying to take dynamic photos of her in spite of this. It makes me happy when I can make her come alive in spite of the various things propping her up and wires stuffed in her body.

I have a smaller collection as well, and though I would like another doll in the future, it does cause me to spend much more time with the dolls I do have. I just have to be careful to keep a "shelf doll" and a "going out" doll so my nicer doll doesn't get overly abused.

    2. For being involved in the hobby since 2006, with my first doll coming that year as well, I still have quite a small collection I guess. But I am quite picky and meticulous, and want to give attention and care to all my dolls equally. So I love the dolls I have so much, and they're basically with me for life lol. It makes me enjoy the hobby so much, so I'm very content. I do still have other dolls on my list to buy but, after 16 years, I'm confident on the ones still on my list are going to have a good home.

    3. I also like having fewer dolls. I’m actually starting to get a little anxious at the number I’m slowly climbing up to. *_* I have 7 now, but waiting for 2 more. My dolls are all small though (mostly tinies and YOSDs with one MSD), so they don’t take up much space. But I like less clutter in my display case, so I’m thinking about selling one that doesn’t “spark joy” as Marie Kondo says.

I also try to be minimal with the number of clothes and things I buy. There are still a few extra doll clothes and a couple wigs in a shoebox, and I do feel a bit guilty for not using them, lol!

    4. I am currently working on adopting my own, and at the moment my focus is completely on her and getting her with little gifts that she would like. I can't see myself with very many dolls, honestly. For now I am very happy with having one doll to my name and seeing what she can do :D
Maybe I will buy a set of interchangeable hands? But I really only see one wig for her, one set of eyes and face up. The clothes will be another story though... gotta get into sewing to give her something to wear with her proportions.
