Junkyspot is really amazing - I bought my Limhwa 43cm girl from there and it was one of the smoothest transactions ever despite me bing international.

kayke - lol your guy looks very annoyed with the tiny, girly room That's a great photo, though, and Xzavi is definitely a handsome boy!

VampireAngel - congrats on your incoming boy! I've bought a doll from JS before, and their shipping is super fast. I am an international customer, and I still got my package within 5-7 business days. Can't wait to see your new boy!

 

Yay! He did ship yesterday! I got the notice last night but didn't check til today. Hopefully he'll be here by Friday, then I'll have some time to mess with him and see if he'll work out. I'm a little worried about the size, but it might still be ok. And I had to check lol or I'd spend the rest of my doll-life wondering....

I really hope he works! I spent some time going through the thread yesterday and these guys are all so gorgeous!!

Double-post, but no choice. So I just picked mine up from home (he's at work with me now, I had the sense to grab his eyes and hairs, but not clothes. So he's nekkid.) and I am so in love. I mean really, he is so perfect I can't believe it...I just wish he was a cm taller >.< I had a feeling he'd be the exact height as (or gf shorter) my DC Colin, and he is....WHY is Colin so freaking tall?! But I think I can work around it. I have too, that face!! He's exactly a mini-Migidoll Ryu. EXACTLY!!

I may try his head on the Lati body, just to see if it fits (it's about the same size as the Lati head, which I did bring with me, so I have hope...), but I really like the body he has D:
dilemma....

Maybe I can find him some not-so-goth platform boots he can always wear XD

Thank you! It can be a little awkward as a photo prop because of the size, but I like them.

Another one from Beau's photo shoot yesterday. It was so cold yesterday (only 3 degrees above zero) that my fingers were nearly frozen by the time I was done with this, but it was a lot better than the last time I took Beau and his horse outside for pictures. There was still snow on the ground last time.

Yesterday at the Columbus Doll Show I picked up Xzavier a tonner jacket, and it fits perfectly! There were so many other nice clothes that I wanted but they were out of my price range. Also- his girlfriend Viveka finally came home today, too!

kayke It amuses me that Xzavier's girlfriend is an Unoa Lusis - Chad's girlfriend is one as well XP The are gorgeous together!

Sapphire I just love him on that horse!

Speaking of Chad, I finally stripped his damaged FU off and now it's time to wait till I can send him to the face-up artist. Basically means no spam of him for a good long while though I at least commissioned him something pretty (that won't be finished anytime soon as well but alas, I'll mend)

Xzavi and Viveka are an absolutely beautiful couple! That's a gorgeous photo.

That's good to know about the Tonner jacket. I have a Tonner coat that's a great fit for my Resinsoul boys, so now I'm thinking I ought to try it on Beau and see how he looks in it. Actually, I'm thinking he might get some use from other Matt O'Neill clothes that I have here. Have you ever tried other Tonner clothes on Xzavi?

The jacket is Matt O'Niell-- I didn't try on the pants but I compared it to his legs and they looked like they would be wayy to short.

 

Good to know. Mono does seem to have very long legs. If I reacall, the inseam measurement is 24cm, so I suppose Matt's pants would be quite a bit too short. I know for sure that Matt O'Neill shoes fit Mono, though. Beau's cowboy boots are Matt boots.

Finally getting a chance to work on my guy. His faceup is almost done! I can't wait, I hope he looks good finished. If he's half as nice as the ones I see here I'll be happy!

He stole the TTYA jeans from my DC Colin (who doesn't care since he got jeans that fit him like freaking glove), they look great on him.


Roterwolkenvogel ~ I can't wait to see Chad's new face up. I love looking at your dolls, they're sooo pretty!

 

Rotter: Oh my lord, you pulled off his face-up? How sad, but completely understandable! What are you going to do with him? Will he look the same or go down a slightly different aesthetic road? Will his artist be rianne, again? Ah, Chad! That explains why you didn't put his face on when trying on that Tonner dress for me (which I thank you for, still!) and I'm anxious to see him again.

kayke: Your pair are beyond adorable! Looking at his little girlfriend is just totally sweet! I love her face up! His, too, but she is just so sweet! I love couple pictures. I should probably take some, too.

Sapphire: Where did you get your boy his horse? It's really nicely to scale!

VampireAngel: Congrats on getting your Mono, too! Your face ups are interesting, so it will be neat to see what you do with him! I'd love to see him with your DC boy, too!

So, I was walking a few weeks ago, and my partner and I stumbled upon a bird's nest. It was maybe the size of two hands across, from outer rim to outer rim, excluding all the fuzz and reeds and dirt that trailed off of it. So I walked it home -- naturally, it's Rook sized and a crow-witch king needs a nest, right? - and left it on my balcony to dry off. My cats ate it, so Ioved it inside (the damage isn't too bad, but still!) and now it's drying in a banana box in my doll room. I'll probably cost it and then, when I'm done Rook's mods, finally put him in it and take pictures.

It's good incentive for me, I guess. I also restrung him recently, but he needs a bit more work before I start up the mods again. I am such a procrastinator!

 

Splynterhayde He'll get a bit more manlier (I loved his old face-up and would never have removed it but alas, the damage got a bit to bad after he fell from my desk) and he's going to be painted by MayYeo :3

MayYeo used to be a good friend of mine! She is a fantastic artist -- I cannot recommend her enough! She will not disappoint you, not at all! - and I'm so excited to see what she would do with Chad. Especially to get him to look a bit manlier. She's such a good artist, you chose someone really fantastic to do your work. Please keep me updated with his progress! It's so nice to see her work, and Chad besides? Too good!

 

Oh gosh I've been away for what feels like forever! Beau is the best cowboy ever! He's so gorgeous! And Xzavier is awesome! MONO MONOS EVERYWHERE!

Ohhh Roterwolkenvogel! I'm so sorry to hear about Chad's fall! I'm sure once he's all reface-upped he'll be as amazing as always and even more so!
