Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       Also, as promised, here is James in his new shoes. I also traded is 11mm Liz Ultra eyecos for LA Iris. They have a slightly bigger pupil, which sets more natural for him. Too bad the color is much less magical. Guess I am still on the hunt for the perfect eyes for this boy. But the LA Iris is a pleasant look.

      Today I got Rajko's outfit from pepperonipizza here on the board - it's made based on an outfit from Micheletto Corella in "The Borgias" and he definitely rocks it 8D
      Though I should get moving and finally get his and his brother's weapons OTL

      @zomjirate oh you know, my digital camera hates up-close pictures also, I manage to have this result with a reflex + macro lens (my reflex is old, canon D70, but most of the time a old reflex produces better pictures than a recent digital camera)

    15. Just finished the faceup for my beautiful Chase! (S)He's gender-fluid, faceup inspired by the beautiful Andreja Pejic. Now she just needs eyes! Can anyone show me the difference between 10mm and 12mm in this sculpt?

      10mm seems so hard to find good colors, especially for how much shadow the eyewell seems to cast. Do you use high dome, low dome, material preference? Testing the acrylic in her was so dull and dark - is that my lighting and result of the size of the 14mm eye, or is there a difference between eye types? My other dolls all have pretty clear, big eyes, so I'm not sure how to choose for Chase because she is very unique.

    18. @vanzinger I don't think ever used Acrylics after my first year in the hobby - my two boys wear EnchantedDoll Urethanes and most of my dolls have Urethane eyes nowadays. Acrylics just always seemed incredible dull to me compared to other options. The ED eyes I have are low dome, I find those easier to get in. I could see MakoEyes in 12mm working though, the iris of their 12mm eyes is as small as other maker's 10mm iris so that is a cheaper option :)

      Thanks for the tips! I also find acrylic to be rather dull, and the only reason I have any is because they came with other dolls. Everyone is wearing glass otherwise, which is my preference. But of course, I also have not tried urethane yet! That seems to be what most people like? Looking at Makoeyes... the owner pictures in the reference thread here look super different from the ones on the website :X
