Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases.     3. As far as I know, the only possible way to get that information for unlimited, "open-stock" sculpts would be to have access to the manufacture and sales records of each BJD company.

      Somehow... I just don't think the majority of them would be be willing to share that information publicly. ^_^

    4. I believe only a few Korean companies actually give limited numbers, and sometimes it's just people manipulating their shopping cart system and guessing how many sold before they were able to check. Volks sometimes tells numbers, but it's normally only with their short run dolls, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Chii being a run of 200.

    5. Many companies don't give figures for limited... in fact, most don't! And even CP, who sometimes give numbers, well, they do follow the different view of "limited" that most BJD companies follow--that limited doesn't mean a specific number, it just means they aren't available regularly! AND limiteds can be re-released!!!

      That said... someone attempting some sort of database for such figures could be interesting... if very, very difficult!

    8. I think the original Cecile the Scarface obtained on the cruise, had 180 available. To date, the quantity of Cecile 2nd (Ocean Deep Black - sunlight version) remains unknown.

    9. Customhouse has produced an unbelieveable amount of limiteds, one-offs, merchen, etc dolls. I don't think there's any way you could possibly document them all without cooperation from CH - most of them aren't even on the site anymore.

    11. Latidoll seems pretty good with their Limited dolls. When they say limited, they really mean it. Their websites are pretty good with keeping info on the dolls. (I only know Aida and Chaim were 70 limited each while Adel was a limited release of 10.) Custom House has so many limited and one-offs (that are gorgeous) but a lot of them have been taken off the website, which breaks my heart. It'll be impossible to track CH's releases...

      Dollshe is another one famous for its limiteds (Bermann). I get utterly confused when I try to figure out the numbers but I'm sure someone can explain or point you somewhere... Bambicrony has limiteds as well and I'm sure their sites states the numbers. Luts/CP usually releases 'limiteds' of 200, or some other random number. My advice would be for you to go for the company lists on this forum and look around their websites.

      It is a pretty daunting task to build a list of the Limiteds... Good luck!

    12. This is very interesting. If doll companies don't actually number the dolls, they could give out a number, say 75, but actually make and sale 100. What dolls actually have numbers engraved on them? Abd if it comes with paperwork/marked boxes has anyone ever had any cases of numbers being duplicated?

    14. You might want to list them as Volks SD Chii, Volks SD Momoko Ryugasaki and just Volks SD13 Cecile the Scarface. Both scarfaces were only sold on cruises so it's not really necessary to say they were obtained on a cruise. Also remembered another one; Volks SD Nono Sweet Dream ES limited to 30.

      I believe some of the original CP/Luts elves had numbers released and that Shiwoo was 68? Someone can probably verify this number and give the others.
