Lovely gestures from the doll companies

mimiwoo always sends me little giftsXP. Leeke didnt send me sweets though lol. ^i dont mind the wig is amazing^ This person i bought food miniatures for my doll from included an extra one. And dollmore send me free eyes and candy and stuff like that

 

Oh! I have two stories I wanted to bring up at some point!

At the first Volks Dolpa, my friend and I brought her (old!) Nono who's hand had fallen off the day before. We thought the Doll doctor could fix it in a jiffy so we didn't bother. When we got there the doctor told us that yes, he could fix it, but she was old and if the string broke again she'd be difficult for us to fix. So, Volks sent her to Kyoto to get new pieces added to her old body so she had the one-touch system and then offered to mail her back to us in the USA, all of which they did for free! We were going to be in Japan around the time she was done anyway so we picked her up. Not only did they fix her, they UV portected her! Wow!

Another sweet story happened this summer. I was in the Shinjuku sumika and looking at their mini's. In my terrible Japanese I was talking to the manager there about minis and I mentioned that I've kinda always wanted a Mary/Marie since we share the same name and I think the doll and I have the same face. He told me he was sorry, that they had been sold out of that doll for awhile, and that he had to go back to work in the back but could I please wait for him to come back out. Well, I suspected he was calling the other stores for me to find my Marie and was incredibly thankful. So, I am browsing through the store, time is passing, and about an hour later he comes up from the elevator (when did he leave???). He is SOAKED (it was raining hard) and carrying a big bag. AWWWW!!! He had borrowed an employee's scooter, gone to another sumika, personally picked up a Marie for me, and brought it back!!! Who does that??? Well, I really didn't have the money for it at the time, but I'm pretty sure I would have gone to hell if I said "no thanks!" I was so touched by efforts!

 

Aww, that is such a sweet story sailorlimabean! I would have been like "what is wrong with you?! oh my god!"(in a disbelief sort of way) but I would have definately had to buy the doll ^^;

 

Like lots of people we got surprise gifts from Dollmore in a recent order. There was a lollypop and some postcards and stickers of Dollmore dolls which was nice enough, but they also sent us a pair of beautiful green eyes and a lovely black and grey tank top!

We were really chuffed and will definitely shop at Dollmore again.

 

I felt a little whiny when I saw that Luts hadn't sent any fun extras with my boy, not even a postcard. Then I unwrapped the Nanuri head and felt really, really stupid

 

Leekeworld did send me a candy when I ordered a wig from them, and Dollmore has always been nice and included little candies and stickers when I order from them. It's a really nice touch, that they really don't have to do.

 

I've had a few nice things from sellers on e-Bay. Mimiwoo gave me a little button badge with a pic of a bjd on it (not sure who though) and a little cellphone charm with a teddybear on it that could be removed with an order I made at X-mas. It looks to nice with my Bobobie tiny. I also bought a set of 3 Lindyloo wigs off e-Bay but the set I really wanted was sold out. So I PMed the seller and asked if they had more. I was told that if I paid extra they would include the other set and throw in a few extras. I ended up with double the amount of wigs that I paid for. I was so happy.

A bit OT- I once got a lovely bamboo calendar with cute cartoon pigs on it from the Chinese takeaway when I went there at new year and I get a half size bottle of wine and a card every year from a lovely chip shop run by an Indian family when I go there at X-mas.

I think that if I start selling things I might give out free gifts too because I know how nice it is to find something nice and unexpected when you buy things.

 

i know this is offtopic, but how long doest it take for non doll orders to come from dollmore? ^^ i was planning on getting some stuff for when my doll arrives.

 

Ms. Cholong of Elfdoll asked me to pick a pair of eyes to keep when I first met her at the Glendale store! Other than that, I've gotten hairclips and small things Companies are awesome!

 

Well I just ordered a doll and an outfit from Dollmore and it was shipped out the next day. So I imagine it would be quite fast. I'm looking forward to finding out what goodies might be in my order (if I get any at all....)

I ordered some clothes and accessories from Dollmore, and they arrived less than a week later. I got some free stuff too - a postcard, sticker, a lollipop, and a pair of eyes!

 

hehe makes me wonder if i will get anything from luts. X3

 

When I bought some things from Dollmore they sent me......:
- the rest of the outfit that went with a jacket I bought o_o
- candy dolly sized lollipop
- two doll postcards
- two doll stickers ^_^
- a pair of leather shorts o_O
- a pair of red cat eyes
That was a LOT of gifts. ...I am totally buying from them again.

 

My friend nonaHikaru recieved a free limited edition Na-Nu-Ri 2007 head when she got her Senior Delf Bliss, Matsuzo. It's really cool, and she hasn't even touched it. We made sure it was that too, it really is a limited edition head. Bizarre right?

She probably got it because she had to wait 60+ days for him to arrive, much over the "25-30 day wait".

I got my boy from Dollmore on Saturday. He came with lots of stuff I got 2 lollipops (that I can't eat because I'm diabetic), a lovely white shirt that I needed anyway, a pair of bluey- greeny butterfly eyes that I will never use (but they are so cute) and a couple of postcards and stickers. They even let me have the eyes and wig that I requested (rather than just sending random ones) and put nice boxes on my Larme so he wasn't naked when I opened the box. I already want to order more stuff from them.

I got a tootsie pop from junkyspot with my latest order. A small thing, but it made an otherwise horrible day a shade brighter. Emory rocks my socks.

 

When I got my Angelregion Warrick, I hadn't been around BJD's or DoA long enough to hear about more than DollMore's shrimp snacks, so I really didn't expect to get anything in with Micah.

Much to my surprise there was a pair of pants and a really nice pair of shoes that, while he may not wear since they're not really his style, I can't seem to part with because they're so cute. XD

 

Well, I'm not sure that this counts, but Soom sent me the shirts I had ordered for Virgil twice. When I e-mailed them and told them, they said to keep the doubles as gifts! Which is very nice because they were not cheap. Although I'm not sure what to do with the second set of shirts. Selling them would be wrong I think, so maybe I'll find someone who needs shirts for their Sabik? Regardless, a very nice thing of them to do!
