1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Lovely gestures from the doll companies

Jan 5, 2006

    1. Junkyspot Always has little favors hidden within the foam-peanuts. First time they sent me a small monkey plushie and 2nd order I got candy :D

Dream of Doll They don't send free stuff when you order (or rarely do) but their customer service just warms my heart with the way they reply :)

    2. Luffy's hat came home by the courtesy of a One Piece lover who used to work at Luts, at those special and wonderful times of my resin start and along so on until I got all my crew. I've got other gifts as lovely gesture from several companies (Many resin people at home = Many places where to buy when you get to save enough :sweat), although I think those so nice gestures are not really common to find. However, I'm afraid the one of the hat has been the most touching for me. Besides that, I got chocolates, some few small OP figures once and company postcards (I remember that one so nice from 4D about their opening, among others from other companies). The snack bag and roses for a bubbly bath from Dollmore, a little book with sound, a necklace and a keychain from Iplehouse,... I think the best is not the fact of the extra and not expected stuff you receive, although it also is. What fulls me of joy is the gesture and the idea of that person seing you as a one and only person too, besides remembering of you and caring of the client in that personal way. Really lovely and meaningful, sometimes like kind of a friend. I'm grateful for all of it from the deepest of my heart. :aheartbea

    3. I just got a Sprite girl from Junkyspot, and they were SO aweome.... not only did Emory answer my every question quickly, but he also sent candy, these neat little "psychic fish" things, a Gazette CD (YAY!!), and they included a second copy of the little MSD dress I'd ordered, which was AWESOME, because the first had been ordered for my roommate's girl, and she'd been saying my Sprite could wear it until I bought her some proper clothes, but she CAME with proper clothes, and now they match!

    4. Mmm, if I buy another doll, I will probably buy from the company itself (Unless Beadedgirl comes to Akon again and has another gorgeous doll XD).
:3 But since I got mine at a convention, and not from the company, I don't get the cute gifts. But it's touching to know these companies value their customers that much :D

    5. When my first doll arrived, they through in a pair of extra hands, and a pair of BEAUTIFUL turqoiuse eyes, but the stringing is sorta all bunched up in the head cap so it hard to take out the eye puddy and put in the eyes. -___- They also gave me a free t-shirt!! Its pretty basic but its a cute pj shirt! :3

    6. Migidoll was lovely to me! When my order got screwed up, Migi sent me a gorgeous free wig along with the remainder of my order! She's a sweetheart!

    7. I received sweets from Leeke, and a SS Delf head from LUTS. ^_^

    8. I am quite surprised by Dollmore when I receive these for the order of my kid girl body:

I have heard of free gift like candies but I never expect that much!

    9. :3 I ordered a doll for the first time from Dollmore yesterday. I wonder if I will get something extra. O_O Only time will tell.

    10. I recently received an order from Dollmore - they sent me SD size necklace for my ducan and a free pair of purple/licac eyes ^-^ it was a lovely suprise

    11. Mimiwoo? Isn't that an ebay seller? I never bought from them yet. ^_^ I was considering getting some of them kitty mary janes...

    12. I always get great bonus stuff in my JunkySpot orders - the best one was a huge Monokuro Boo plushy-mat thing that came with tall!Tigerbaby, my Boboie Pixie-boi. My cat, MooChi, has claimed it as his special nap-mat. Now he is a Moo on a Boo!

I got a really nice-looking pair of eyes as a freebie in my Dollmore order - by a happy coincidence they are a colour and type I am very likely to use.

A lot of the suppliers I deal with are likely to send out little gifts, particularly if the order is large, especially bead sellers or places doing OOAK fairy supplies.

Of course, if a company sent me a sack of White Rabbit candies? I would be their devoted retail slave 4-ever.

    13. I just got a lovely postcard in the mail from Kon'd, wishing me a Merry Christmas. :) All I've ever bought from them is a wig, so I think it's a lovely gesture.

    14. My LikeMey Niana came with additional high-heeled feet (though I don't know if that counts as a gift or if they were just included ^^), as well as extra elastic for stringing, replacement headcap magnets, and a magic eraser sponge thingy. It just seems so nice-- if anything were to go wrong I'd already be prepared. =D

    15. When I admired a certain display tanktop on Iplehouse's site that wasn't being sold, and asked them if they'd ever consider selling it regularly-- they wrote back no, they wouldn't sell them regularly-- but then they went on to just give me a free tanktop in my next order. <3 That's love.

Iplehouse also always gives you a handful of beautiful picture postcards, too, whether your order was big or small. Their photos are gorgeous, & often get tacked right up on the wall. And if you buy a doll, they include an extra elastic, set of magnets, & set of S-hooks.

Soom gave me a free pair of eyes once. That being a $20-30 value, I was pretty impressed (even though I'd spent mondo buck$ on the LE fullset it came with ^^).

Dollmore, however-- yeah, they're tops for always sending freebies! Sometimes a piece of clothing or accessory, sometimes a purely demented feathered pen that says "Love", sometimes shrimp-crackers, sometimes a personalized keychain, sometimes a pair of acrylic eyes. For wigs, always free Velcro. For all orders, postcards & mini-cards.

(When it comes to their choices of free clothing, though, they do boggle me... I never buy anything but Boy clothes, and yet the free-gift clothes I always get are inevitably Girl clothes. XD I think I'd like to work at Dollmore, just to get a glimpse of what goes on in their funky little heads sometimes.)

    16. I got one from them too ^^ I thought it was a really nice gesture since it's been a while since I last ordered from them.

Of course from a marketing perspective it makes perfect sense too, since people get it and think 'awww that's nice, I might just have to go back there again because they obviously care about their customers'. Smart and sweet, I approve of this. XD

    17. I'm glad I found this thread. I was wondering about which companies send extras to customers. Apparently I picked one that doesn't do it.

    18. I haven't really gotten anything spectacular from any of the companies...

A pen, sticker and postcard from Dollmore... A wrong set of hands from Luts haha :(

    19. Oh yeah I got the candy from Leeke too. Haven't even opened the bag cause they look so beautiful in it XD

    20. JennyNemesis: Odd, I don't think I got any Velcro with my mohair wig. Maybe I just overlooked it in the baggie? -Shrug-
      /Most likely.

My Dollmore order came in today- my friend and I ordered some dollstuffs for ourselves, as well as a suit to send to our friend who moved to Florida. We got a free pair of blue SD-sized Converse with our order- we might send them to her, but I'm kind of in love with them... :sweat

      The shoes:

Everything also came in a nice little felt, Christmas-like bag. Very cute. :3
