Lovely gestures from the doll companies

I'm not sure about this,
But it seems like AR custom glued my girls eyes to her head XD.

I mailed them about it why they did ti because i never heard of it on angelregion.
In crappy English the reply sounded like:
You doll had to go really far, we were afraid her eyes will come lose from her head and damage both the inside and the eyes.
So we stuck them to her head.

It could have ment something totally different but this is what i thought it said XD

I also forgot to put the monthly present in my order list and they putted it with her anyway :3

And surprisingly her body was also coated :B probably has something to do with her long travel here to, because they usually didnt do that

 

Maybe I'm not lucky... or customs confiscated all my goodies. ;.; I've ordered from Souldoll and Luts. But I never ever got gifts in my package along with my doll ;___;
maybe I'll be more lucky when I order from Dollmore. And I hope to get the Luts Christmas postcard but up to now I haven't received anything ;.;

 

I think angel region normally hot glues eyes in. The two full dolls I've gotten from them both had hot glued in eyes. Though I'm suprised she was coated! Did she have body blushing of some sort somehow?O_O

heh... I forgot to put the monthly present thing on my order too. It's nice to know they probably haven't forgotten.

 

The most I've ever gotten was velcro from luts.. xD

 

When my Lati Red shipped, there was a pack of gorgeous Redline postcards in with him x) Not to mention the adorable makeup case the glasses came in - it had a mirror inside which was so cute!

 

When I first ordered from Angelregion, I was sent some eye putty, a few extra pairs of eyelashes, some stockings and an extra wig! When I ordered Judas from them, they sent me candy.
Iplehouse gave me a doll sized book (about star signs- they matched it up to my sign.)

Luts has always sent me pretty postcards. Once they sent me a cute little trading card with Minifee Chiwoo on it.

Customhouse gave me a free pair of shorts and some postcards when I ordered Bastion.

Naira: I have four AR dolls and all of their eyes are hot glued in. ^^

 

I've gotten a feather pen from Dollmore, free wig and boots from Luts {had to make a huge order though}, candies from another....but i just recently receive my OD SO-YE and never got anything free....
and I have a Soom doll coming in, I wonder if i will get anything free from them???

 

While I haven't ordered any dolls yet directly from the companies, I've been buying a lot of clothing & such from overseas & the sellers always seem to include a little gift, some bookmarks, buttons, keychains, stockings, etc. Even some of the US stores that carry BJDs have included gifts with the dolls. I really think it's something about these dolls themselves & the people who deal in them. I've seldom gotten extras with all the other types of dolls I collect.

 

Ahh...those shrimp chips are the best! lol I got a bag of them with my first order from Dollmore. I also normally get the free little scented rose soaps. I have another order coming soon, so I wonder if anything extra will be included.

From my only Soom order, I got a free extra wig and a necklace...which still needs to be put together. ^^;

From Luts...I've never gotten anything special from them in my orders (aside from usual velcro and little card of a random doll, and the free event wig/boots that I didn't even know about when I ordered my first doll). Oh, but once when they sent me the wrong-sized carrier with my order (a kid-delf sized), and after I'd shown them sufficiant proof of it and requested a refund of the $5 difference in cost, they sent me an entirely new delf/hound-sized carrier, instead! Free of charge! So I'd say that makes for fantastic customer service, right there.

When I bought my second Ani-elf from another member of DOA, I was expecting her to arrive naked and bald. lol But she came with a cute wig and this really adorable outfit I'd seen around and had really wanted to somehow get my hands on.

 

When i bought my Eyeglasses from a korean ebay seller, they sent the glasses, (which i paid 60 dollars for) and they also sent a free tank top and a matching beanie!

 

When I ordered my DOD Too (Yuki ) from someone here on DOA, she sent me a 1/6 scale dollie and a dress + petticoat for the her (~!), plus really adorable Hello Kitty, Charmmy Kitty notepad things and a Pink Bear little memo sheet thing! Plus a carring case for my baby Yuki! Ahh! He was my first dollie, and I was so happy! He goes in the carrying case every night (I do NOT trust my cat with him, she stole his bed already! LOL I have this MSD sized bed my g-ma made me and I cleaned it and washed the bedding and got in all ready the day he came, I got him upstairs when I went to go to bed and - whooo was on Yuki's mini bed? CASSIE THE CAT. XD She looked so cute sleeping though, so I didn't move her. =P)

I drew pet/people portraits for members of a Chinchilla forum I belonged too, and I usually sent a free Chibi or something cute with it (plus a thanks note ) =D And when I buy stuff from people here or anywhere, I usually draw them something (but UPS always seems to loose it. D= *grumble*)

 

When I bought Paul from Stefen in Germany, he sent me a suit, shoes, and all the original Lati goodies along with the doll for MUCH less then they were all worth. Best seller ever.

 

I got the classic shrimp chips and a pair of these pretty blue eyes from Dollmore. :3

 

I missed out on Juri06 by starting to fill my cart before Luts' clocks rolled over to midnight and was very upset. We had an argument over it and I was satisfied with them saying that they'd take my complaint into consideration but still wouldn't send the head.

Later, a small box arrived with two wigs and a letter restating that they'd take it all into consideration at the next event.

Now I know not to get too excited over an event and to be patient enough to wait a day or so JUST in case, but it was a lovely gesture on their part.

 

The dolls I ordered from Korea came with extra gifts every time, it's very nice of them to do that.

 

Dollmore gave me acrylic eyes and SOOM gave me head velcro and ear rings ^ ^

 

I've gotten acrylic eyes as well from Dollmore as well as hair clips, post-cards, sweets and these absolutly wonderful bath roses that I believe are actually *made* out of soap or something. They are increadible. I still have them in my bathroom on display because I've never seen anything else like them. (they smell like roses too!)
I love the gesture of giving that people always seem to send when you buy thing from them. Its so sweet. It seems to me that its a big part of the culture in Asia, because I know that they are really big about giving gifts to say thank you and as a sign of respect and such (My father went to China on a business trip and he came back telling me that he couldn't beleive how many gifts he was given!).
At any rate, I think it's awesome.

The new year's postcard is traditional in Asia. In Japan, it's called a Nengajyo. Everyone sends them out, including most companies. I got mine from Volks last week. The school I work for sent them out to every student and family as well.
That particular extra, and the tissues they sometimes add in packages, would not even be blinked at by someone from Japan. It's expected. But in the US, and perhaps most other places in the world, since extras like that are really EXTRA, it makes the non-Japanese person so happy to see it! Cultural difference in customer care.

 

I bought a bambicrony body separately as i got a free head at the previous doll purchase, and i asked if only buying body will have the fabric wrap (so my girl can have something to protect her in box too) and they said yes. So i placed the order.

They shipped the body out the next day after I paid + they sew me a cute rabbit fabric wrap (they said they made it for me specially) and a free wig & a panties were in the package too.
