Lovely gestures from the doll companies

My El came with those too! Mine are blonde.... and have the gems and everything. They're cute, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use them on either of my dolls yet....

But other than that, I've gotten velcro with both my dolls lol, which is great, cause that's what I use for the headcap. ^_^

 

Soom gave me velcro for the wigs (which I didn't use, but hey.) As well as some sort of free assemble-it-yourself jewelry.

Cherishdoll gave me lollipops. I have heard they were quite good, I gave them to two of my friends.

Elfdoll didn't give me squat. XD

Dollmore will be giving me a postcard, by proxy of a group order.

The only 'freebies' we have received (besides the surprise of eye putty for the OD and small candies from SD I think) were the lovely fun things from Dennis at Bobobie. So far everyone seems to have received different things :B We received a very cute cd storage box as a case- it is yellow with a yellow fur top- perfect actually for storing supplies for out Erin- and several pairs of eyes in different colors and two sizes for her as well. Someone else received the cutest goat- tee-hee :B Others had wee satin bags for theirs instead of the box- but I make my own fleece bags for them so the box was much more useful.

ps- I have heard that this tradition was brought over from Europe a few hundred years ago and especially in New Orleans it is called something specific (in French i think) the gift with the purchase to show affection and appreciation to the customer. I try to always include something fun to my customers. I love surprise presents and to give them

 

Usually I get some candy or bath flowers, though once I got both a wig and an SD dress from Luts - I was very happily surprised.

 

I got a lollipop from Dollmore, a postcard and a sticker from dollmore
I thought it was really sweet of them.

 

meh. I've bought from almost every company and I've never received anything free >.<

I got some velcro with my Luts order.There was enough for three dolls! Also a postcard.From DIM there was a card too.

 

I've ordered alot of clothes from Dollmore before and normally get soap flowers...but suddenly the last time I ordered, they gave me alot of other gifts! (Maybe because my order was alot more expensive this time...?)
They sent me: 3 Postcards, stickers, free pair of eyes, korean sweets all in one package! ^w^)/ I was so happy, and the candy was tasty...

I never got anything from any other company I've ordered from though...But it has been a while!
I want a DOD ring... xD

 

Notdolllab sent along a cool red and multi-colored striped bag with my Naripon.

But I would note, culturally, that the fashion doll fan community I send things back and forth with, several of the bead companies I order from, and also the trading card community, tend to send extras as well. So maybe it's more of a 'nice people' thing. ^_^

I've had a pair of eyes with both of my last two dollmore orders besides the normal cards and lollypop (both the 14mm red cats eyes ones...guess they mustn't be selling very well but free's free and and its very sweet of them) unlike my first (and last) Leekeworld order, I don't mind that they didn't send me anything, I wasn't expecting anything but I would've just settled for getting the wigs in under a month =/

My first doll that I've bought direct from luts is on his way home so I guess I'll wait and see if they sent me anything ^^

 

lol Luts sent me an MSD Santa hat with my Elf Chiwoo. I'm guessing it was a leftover from the Christmas event. Even so, with the thousands of dollars that I've ordered from them in the past, its the first time they've sent any little surprise gifts along with the package.

 

Elfdoll sent some black glasses when I ordered Red from them.

And I did a small Dollmore order with Sandwich, and they sent this fabulously tacky tie as a present, which Lucas instantly laid claim over.

 

Nope, you're not the only one who has opened a doll box and found nothing.

 

When I got Sarjenka from Dollmore they sent me some velcro for her wig and a SD sized shirt. Neither of my current dolls will wear it, but I'm planning to use it as pyjamas for a planned doll

And that's the only time I've ever bourght anything from a company! I guess I was lucky...

 

I just got my dollmore shipment yesterday, they sent me a lolli, postcards, stickers, free eyes, and free stockings for my Banji. =d

 

The cutest one I've got was a little hand written note from Volks where they wrote "thank you" in my language ^^ ("takk") That was just too adorable.

Besides that, I've gotten velcro and a doll bag from DoD, candy from Dollmore and nothing from Soom

 

I've only ordered from Dollheart and Dollmore. Dollheart didn't send any extras, but my first dollmore order had candy and postcards and my second had postcards, stickers and a wee tiny little teddy bear . So tiny, he fits in the palm of my girl's hand! I don't know if I'll keep him with her since he's so little, he might get lost , but he will fit perfectly in the dollhouse I'm building...

 

Hmmm, let see, I have gotten a sweet little donkey from Bobobie, post cards from DIM, and nearly everyone I ever baught from on DoA (dolls, clothes, etc) have always included some lovey, tiny surprise that has always made me giggle with glee. Tinybear even sent me extra mohair for my silly cat who kept stealing my tiny wigs and making them into kittens. GROAN!
