I'm very tempted by the latest preorder. Does anyone have photos of a male lumedoll with either male or female minigem/faery legend? Ideally they wouldn't be wearing too many clothes so I can get a feel for how the bodies compare but even looking at the scale of the faces would help.
I have Lume dolls (muscle & slim body) and a boy fairy from Soom. Pics together would need to wait until tonight (my time) as it's early morning where I am and I'll be at work all day. I'm really tempted by the mini Zero, OT for DoA, but I just love that guy because his face is pretty much the way I see everybody's face (I'm face-blind) and it's kinda awesome to me. Unfortunately, I'm also currently out of doll funds *sigh* and if I did have the cash, it would be going to a doll that I've wanted to bring home for like 1.5 years. I am a little sad to see that the Koit sculpt is being retired (I have one).
Photos of your 3 boys together would be awesome. I'm really torn at the moment especially as shipping from the US to europe is so pricey for a small doll (not from lumedoll specifically, just in general). What I'd really like is both Elf Koit and Kiran though....
I don't know if everyone's aware but four of the Lumelights are being discontinued. I am going to order a Koit Elf even though the timing is bad, because I love that face and have gotten quite attached to the character I created for him.
I ordered Fionn during the last order period. I'm glad I did it when I did, because there's now way I'd be able to get the money together during this one!
Liam is at the faceup artist now. I just got a message from the artist and she's planning to work on him next week. I'm very excited to see him all painted. The discontinued ones are Koit, Koit Elf, Fionn and Mini Zero, for anyone who doesn't know. I really want an Elin. I'm very tempted, but at least she's not one of the discontinued ones, and there will be other order periods.
Okay, I took some pictures of Sleet (my Soom Auber Storm Sprite) and Dolf (Blaze, muscle body). Photobucket has "improved" their interface and I've no idea where they've hidden the button that allows you to re-size from the giant pic they now give you to something manageable *grumbles*. I apologize for that. I have found that when I stand them side-by-side, Sleet is much taller than Dolf, but Sleet also permanently wears the fairy feet and that adds quite a bit to his height. I'd assume that if you kept the human feet on the fairy boy of choice, the height difference wouldn't be so bad. Seated, they're nearly the same height with the Soom doll being a touch taller. Proportions seem almost identical between them. I didn't put Gunari (Koit w/modded Soom Alk feet) into the shots as with his modded lower legs/feet, he's even shorter than a Lume Light by about... 1.5cm, which is quite a bit in dolls this size.
Thanks so much - that's exactly what I wanted to see. I really like the look of them together so now I have to decide whether I can put both Kiran and Elf Koit on layaway and save shipping or whether I should order just Koit through Think Pink. Decisions!
aahhh you guys! I got preview pics from the artist of my little Liam's new face, and he looks AWESOME! She was even able to paint his tiny teeth. *dies of teh happy* She just needs to finish the gloss on his lips and then he'll be ready to come home. heeheee.... I'm soooo happy that my little soldier will be home in time for Christmas. jwsmith, huge congrats on getting your Koit! What body type is he? Clothes for modern Ken fit the slim body really well, and GI Joe clothes fit too.

Wow! I love these dolls. I just got a kiran off the marketpace and painted him last night. Ordered some wigs from monique, and ordered a tan Elin!! Yayayaya!!
SapphireStargazer - I have the slim body on my Koit. He was an in stock doll so I got him for 215.00 I also bought a kiran on the muscle body from the marketplace and omg I'm in luv. He's soooo awesome. I painted him and waiting on wigs then I'll post pics.
I received my wigs but they are too big . I bought size 4/5 from monique - gold wigs. They are huge. Maybe I will try ordering size 4?
I'll second that. Liam's wig is a Monique wig as well. The style is "James" and the size is 4. Size 3/4 wigs also fit if they have a stretchy wig cap. I've got a couple of Glib 3/4 wigs here that fit nicely.
