1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Lumedoll 30cm discussion part 1

Sep 28, 2010

    1. I'll have to keep that in mind then. Anything I don't have to sew is good in my books. I'm really pleased with the way his wig turned out. I can't wait until I can send him off for a face-up.

    2. Hello there everyone. :) It seems everyone is still having a bit of an issue finding clothing for these boys (I want to order either the Blaze or Lucas :D) and I looked through the thread but I didn't see anyone mentioning this (if they did, I'm so sorry for the re-information). Hot Toys sells a wild array of costumes and clothes that can be bought relatively cheap and mix-n-matched. Also, on ebay, rarefigures-toys sells an off-brand (not sure what it is) that's just a tiny bit baggy for a 27cm slim male Obitsu, so it may be the perfect size for these boys!! Hopefully everyone is finding clothes that they adore for this amazing doll line!! :D

    3. Does anyone have any idea what each resin matches? I was thinking of getting the slim body for a different head (the head sculpts are gorgeous, but just don't fit with my plans!).

    4. Doll is worthy of attention!

    5. One of the dolls currently listed as "In Stock" on the Lume website is now at the top of my wishlist. I just hope no one else buys him before I get a chance! I would have bought him this week, but Fairyland took all my doll money again.

My boy hasn't gone anywhere yet, and she's offering face-ups again! One more week (and paycheck) and I will be paying for him!

    6. I just got my Lucas and he is hot and the tan is only slightly darker then Soom's natural skin so he goes well with my soom fairy (i'll post a pic. later. Does any one know they boy's wig size?

    7. I use a size 3/4** Monique wig for my Lucas, and it's a little loose on him -- I use a dot of eye putty to anchor the wig on his teeny head.

**ETA: I'm an idiot . . . after tidying up wig boxes over the weekend, I realized that that wig must be a 4/5. *_* No wonder it's a tad loose!

    8. Parabox 4 inch fit, but are a little snug. I use double sided sticky tape to help it stay on :)

    9. chibialex I demand pictures-you beat me to him! I'll just have to wait until he's available again to get my own. What kind of character do you have in mind for him?

Lucas' costume is from the Mattel Divergent Four Ken doll. It fits well, except for when he sits with his knees bent. His pants legs ride up a little bit. The Ken body is called "Articulated Harley". I'll probably get a new wig.

    11. Lume dolls are on sale right now, which was motivation for me to pounce on tan Elin.

      Added-

And just five days later she's home!

    12. Hi
Just spamming my new lumelight Arine, now I have finnished her face up & wig.

Does anyone else that has one of these girls have problems with the lower leg swiveling un controllably at the knee & have you found any way to stop it?

    13. Takhisis - your girl is beautiful. Which resin shade is that?

      I'm a new owner…but I haven't had any trouble with my dolls leg yet…but I have a boy - don't know if that makes a difference.

    14. Hi Thanks, she is bronze colour resin, I also have a boy ( blaze) but have no problems with his knees/ legs.I think the boys are very stable, but Arine either has knock knees or bow legs, and I have to constantly fiddle to get her thighs & calves in line.

    15. Humm good to know…sorry I couldn't of help.

Oh if you get around to it - would you mind posting a picture of your Blaze too? And do you make your clothes for him or have you found something that fits well. I've re-read the thread trying to get a feel for what fits and visual examples but it seems thin. So I've just decided to into hit or miss mode of shopping for him.

    16. Thanks Takhisis…then I did see him and took notes. Thanks for the reference…then it was your post and a few others that lead me all over the 1/6 scale action figure sites.

So far I've ordered some Newline stuff, also some vintage Ken stuff and items from MuDoll. Can't wait to see what works.

    17. My still faceless, nameless, Elin

In a dress made from a Barbie pattern. Any know where to get shoes for them?

    18. So cute…what a great dress! I'm not sure about the girl shoes but maybe have a look at Facets by Marcia and inquire there if you haven't already…they have some fashion doll shoes but not sure if they're way to big.

For boys (slim body) - The Ken clothes I got fit great and the Newline boots fit well and awesome quality.

Having a bit of a trouble finding a wig that works. One style I got from MuDoll (Glib) size 3/4 was too small….boo. The 4/5 styles I got from Facets were too big…. I'm inquiring about a style in size 4 + wig cap from Facets and hopefully that will be just right...

So far I am loving this size - adorable next to bigger dolls.
