Luts Baby Delf - 40cm

I love the body, but I didn't like either of the original two face sculpts. Infortunately the SD head I wanted to hybrid onto the body was too big to work with my other dolls (she looked like a midget rather than a child), so I'm holding out hopes they will release a Raphael head now they own all the Custom House stuff.

The Gabriel head is nice, but the Raphael sculpt is much smilier and I'm all about the smiley sculpts.

So at the moment I have a Baby Delf (Rose, It think... it might be Daisy, but I ony wanted the body so I can't remember which I ordered) sat headless in the carry case, waiting and waiting for the right head to come along. And the head wrapped up in a box waiting to either be sold on by itself, or sold on as a whole doll if I give up on getting the right head for the body.

They should totally make a BDF Raphael! I agree smiley sculpts are awesome Will you be getting Raphael if they do?

I'd also like to see "Pin, Sunny and Nari". I also like odd looking sculpts. Not beautiful, but not ugly. Just different! Turning ugly ducklings into beautiful swans is so much fun

I'm stuck between Daisy and Romance Daisy. Normal skin or brown skin Glad I'll have some time to decide.

 

Definately if they offer the head on its own (which seems unikely, but I can ask) as I already have the body. Actaully, I'd be tempted to get the whoe doll and sell on the one I already have, if they ony offer the whole doll as an option.

Gabriel arrived about two weeks ago, but I was so busy that I didn't manage to get a photoshoot done until yesterday!

Thank you so much, @nancy_schroeder_ca ! I am hoping to make this a trio, when I order Pansy eventually. That won't be for quite a long while though.

I think I need to get Lucy (Gabriel) some urethane eyes, though. I like her with the purple, but I do want eyes that pop and sparkle a bit more. I feel like Anabelle has more presence, because of her more striking eyes.

I made two Gallery threads with more photos of my girls as well. Anabelle is awfully cute in her ballet costume, too! I was a bit surprised that these fit. I admit, I had to ease them on with care, as they were a bit tight, but I love these little costumes!

 

Ah! Those ar the ballet outfits from Angell-Studio! The girls pose very gracefully! They make great little ballerinas!

Thank you both! And yes, I ADORE A-S's clothes These ballerina outfits are certainly no exception. I wish they came in more colors. I'd get one of each ~_~

@wherethelilacsbloom Your girl is adorable!! She looks so lovely in normal skin! Her faceup is very lovely and delicate. Congratulations on your beautiful new girl!

 

@wherethelilacsbloom, your Gabriel is truly stunning! It makes me so happy that I have one coming too, in brown skin (currently in layaway with FF&D though.) And due to emergency dental work, I have to pay her out slowly although she's already arrived at the store (darned budgets anyway.)A little over 2 months left to go! But seeing your gorgeous girl lessens the blow. Thank you so much for showing her off here! I really appreciate it.

@wherethelilacsbloom, Both of your Baby Delf girls are sooooo cute! I love how striking Lucy is with her dark hair. And you're a master at posing them! I've been struggling a little bit with making sure my girl's knees don't twist around backwards.

@PoeticSoul, congrats on your Gabriel and boo on the dentist front! I'm looking forward to seeing a BDF in brown skin! I'm sure she'll be stunning.

I chose a Baby Delf body for my floating Volks Una head because I think the exposed 'balls' of the Baby Delf body are so cute and antique looking. I'm struggling a little with the posing limitations on the elbows, though! I'm contemplating cutting deeper slits into one side of the elbow ball to give her a bit more mobility there.

I took a few pictures of various Volks heads on the Baby Delf body (Una, Lieselotte, Mytyl and Chiyo) if anyone is interested! Thread is here.

 

My trick, @snowgray , is that sometimes I actually turn the leg parts until the girl no longer seems floppy or unstable. You can't really tell when I do this on the back foot, and it helps a lot with stabilizing them! Also, make sure to hold the foot while you're balancing them. The BDF feet like to move if they aren't pushed firmly into a position.

Yay I think I got my picture to post! Excuse her really dark eyes this is the pair I got and I want to change them soon! Her wig needs an upgrade as well but all I had was the one she's wearing so I made due. Overall I'm in love! She's my most beautiful dolly. I need a name for her soon!

Thank you! When I got her I was really shocked how detailed and beautiful her face-up was. I honestly think it looks better then most of the Kid Delfs. I really want her to have some colored hazel eyes and more outfits to. It's all about budgeting. Hehe
