Considering the success they've had with the Tiny Delf, Honey Delf, and Kid Delf variants, I think it's within the realm of possibility. And I would impulse buy one so fast lol. I can resist a lot of shiny releases, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't resist that! I do wonder if we'll get more releases in the Fairy Forest RPG sort of setting they've done the Elf Daisy in? Or maybe I just really want a Paladin with the wicked cool armor Luts does in this size too lol.
They just ran a discount event for wigs/clothes/shoes/eyes in October. And going back to last year's notices, I don't think it's typical to do sales with the event unless it's a brand new release (which sometimes gets discounted to drum up interest). They did a special daily sale back in April 2014 though. Hopefully that's what you meant! Usually with the summer/winter events, they just do the free gift tiers, with the event heads and other things ^^
Thanks @Sarako ! That's exactly what I was wondering, if they'd do a doll sale. Probably not, then, so I should just go for what I want.
Still waiting around on my Pansy. She's gotten pushed back a bit, behind some new/limited releases, but I'll get her eventually! I'm still waiting on my urethanes for Anabelle and Lucy to arrive I haven't had a photoshoot with them in ages.
I bought a pair of Mako's because you rave about the urethanes, @wherethelilacsbloom! I can't wait to get them and try them out! and, I really want to see your girls some more. I decided to go ahead an order my Gabriel Baby Delf on Monday since yours is so stinkin' cute. I don't think I'll like the body, but I'll wait and see it in person before I buy her a body from Myou.
Such wonderful news! I can't wait to see photos once she arrives. I feel like every Luts Baby Delf is a unique treasure to be celebrated!
I did it! I finally bought BDF Gabriel! I couldn't turn it down, what with the free face-up and the $10 coupon I earned. Now the nervous waiting begins!
Congratulations! Gabriel is so unbelivably cute! Do you have any plans on how you're going to dress/style her? I love imagining what people will do with their Baby Delfs.
I think I'm going to have to make a matching 20's dress for her, too! To match the one I'm finishing up for my Myou big baby. I have some darling grayish blue fabric with sailboats that would look perfect. But what I really want to make her is this: (illustration by Anne Grahame Johnstone)
How wonderful! And that illustration would make an amazing outfit for a Baby Delf...it's gorgeous! How fabulous that you can sew and make these fashion dreams a reality. I've been following your progress on the 1920s outfit in the sewing project thread here on DoA and I'm highly impressed. That fabric is absolutely adorable and the way you're putting it all together with the pattern and trims is truly stunning. I can't wait to see what you produce for this baby!
@whisperwolf Wonderful idea, and I just love the illustrations of the Johnstone twins. I'm pretty sure as a child I had a book of Anne's illustrations.
I was playing with my girls this past weekend and I think my Rose happened upon a new perma wig~ (and possibly a different character, which is always fun) She's wearing an SD maid apron/skirt and her shirt is from a BFC Ink doll - they were slimmer 18" dolls and are now discontinued, but there are a lot of people who make and sell clothes and patterns for them still that may be a good source for us too!
I'm kinda obsessed with the Johnstone's illustrations, and am slowly emassing a collection I love that outfit! My daughter has some BFC dolls hiding in her room somewhere... gotta find them! Rose looks adorable in that wig!
