1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Luts Baby Delf - 40cm

Oct 7, 2015

    1. I hope it's okay to post here since the thread kind of seems deserted. I just ordered an early birthday gift in the form of a Baby Delf.

I've been looking at big babies for a while and while the Baby Delf body probably won't meet my usual requirements in regards to poseability I do love the aesthetics and sculpts. I'm a little worried about the huge ball-joints at the ankles but lots of owners assured me that it's not as bad as most photos make them look.

I honestly can't wait to meet my new family member but I think I'll have a long waiting time ahead of me. Maybe some users who are still active here can share some pictures of their lovelies to ease the waiting?

    2. ??! I hadn't noticed huge ankle joints...

Happy to - I haven't shared any pictures of Little Marina recently so was about to post one anyway.

Here she is with her DearSD friend, Kitty (Kitty belongs to Alice80) :

    5. Congratulations @Siara ! For a single joint doll, I think the baby delf are pretty stable and poseable! I'm pretty picky about needing stable dolls and prefer peanut joints, but she is just so sweet it didn't bother me.

Here is my Gabriel named Corinthia:

    7. Thank you everyone for all the lovely photos. They keep me going in these troubled times. Your girls are all so beautiful! :love

I actually ordered a Daisy in Real Skin Brown, unfortunately by now I think I probably chose the wrong sculpt for the character I wanted to shell. They'd be perfect in normal skin for another character of mine though. :doh

We'll see how I like them once they arrive. Who knows they might spark something and turn out to be someone else entirely. My fingers are already itching to buy a second baby but I am doing my very best to hold out and wait for the first one. I might cave if one pops up second-hand.

My mind knows it's not smart to buy more than one doll before you've actually handled that particular line but my heart just screams that there's never enough cute.

Keep the gorgeous photos coming. I'm surprised these lovelies aren't more popular.

    8. I adore the body but (so far) they'e only brought out one face sculpt that apppeals to me (and it isn't available as head-only). It took me forever to find an alternative head to hybrid onto my body.

If they ever bring out a CH Raphael sculpt for this body, however, I'll simply have to buy a second doll.

    9. I agree, Teddy! CH Raphael as a Baby Delf is a unicorn of mine! I wish they would do that... especially with elf ears!!

    10. I'm actually wanting to buy a Baby Delf Clover really bad. I've been so concerned about finding clothes that fit their bodies. I would love a cute dress but $150 is a bit steep for me. Do you find it difficult to acquire clothing that fits? I have been out of the BJD scene for 8 years, so I'm a little unfamiliar with new sizing.

    11. Mine mostly wears clothes made for 16" Sasha dolls:

There are Ebay and Etsy sellers who make them, as well as makers websites. My favourites are A Passion For Sasha on Etsy, and Ruths Dolls (buying direct from Ruth's website: Ruthsdolls.uk ), and Boneka (40 cm Puppen - Boneka Tradition), but there are others such as Sashapotamus that come up if you search for "sahsa doll clothing" or similar terms.

    12. I love the beautiful items MoriTime on Etsy makes for the Rosenlied Holiday Child, which fit very well and are exquisite. If you want to start with a basic set, you could also look up dresses, shirts, skirts, and underthings for Disney Animator dolls on Etsy, but pants won't fit and the dresses may be on the shorter side since they have a slightly chubbier and shorter torso and shorter legs. Its a good place to start for basics though.

    13. Oh that is brilliant. My daughter has several of those animator dolls and plenty changes of clothing. Thanks for that tip, itll at least keep her covered until I get something more permanent. I just put in my order for my Baby Delf Clover!!

    14. Due to circumstances I'm not sure if I'll ever see my order. Trying not to feel too down about it. I still desperately want a baby to cuddle so chances are I'll just risk it again with a different dealer. Not looking forward to waiting another 4 months though. I really wish these baby sizes were more popular so there would be a higher chance to encounter them preloved. One can hope, can't they? ^__^

It's awesome to read that Disney Animator Doll outfits fit these adorable ones. I was wondering why pants are a no-go though? Is it because they don't fit around the waist or because they'd be too short? If it's the latter maybe shorts could work? I figure it's the latter since skirts seem okay?

I'd love to see more spam~:love

    15. I’m so thrilled that I was finally able to obtain a grail of mine, a very limited Baby Delf Daisy Elf. She’s in tan skin. She’s my little deerling, Primrose, and I absolutely adore her. I feel so fortunate to have 3 Baby Delfs now...she’s so precious!:)

    16. Absolutely adorable! Congrats on gettign her.

    17. @PoeticSoul Your Primrose is stunning. Congratulations on her arrival. I love the Tan color and her outfit is really cute.

Can I also share I'm absolutely in love with my unexpected arrival? It took a Paypal claim and a lot of stress but my baby Santiago (nickname Iago) finally came home. This is a linked image of him with temporary eyes and wig.

      Iago trying out some things.

I need to get him a reddish wig and fitting eyes soon. These Baby Delfs are just so adorable. I love the size so much. They're beyond cuddly. It was so worth every penny and effort to get him home.

On that note...does anyone have a Lily at home? Preferably in normal skin but I'll take any. I'd love to see more detailed pictures. Who knows, Iago might be getting a sister.

    18. He'll look adorable as a redhead - what colour eyes are you getting for him?

      Teddy

    19. @Teddy Thank you so very much! She’s really a dream come true, and she makes such a great little sister for my Genie twins.:)

@Siara Oooooh! He’s so adorable! I love the Daisy sculpt so much...it’s so precious...and it’s absolutely gorgeous in brown skin.:D I can’t wait to see what wig and eyes you choose for him. I love his name too, it really suits him. And I totally agree about the Baby Delf size...it’s one cuddly chunk-o-resin for sure. I just absolutely adore them!

    20. Thank you all for the lovely comments ^__^ I'm not 100% sure on what color eyes he'll get just yet. I think I'll try some cheap(ish) eyes in different colors until I find the color that's just right for him.
