1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

LUTS, How can I trust you again?

Jul 31, 2007

    1. I agree, I think they're trying to take on too much! And because of that the resin quality is going down :( I hope they take note of all the bad press because then they might be able to do something to increase resin quality! Even if I had the money to buy a Soony now, I'd think I'd rather wait until it looks as if they've atleast tried to do something to stop the bad things happening to our dolls!

    2. Luts have the best dolls in my opinion and I know from experience it tears you apart to know that your doll has broken and it wasnt YOUR fault

    3. I really love luts dolls, and I was considering buying from them.

But if its a hit or miss situation then I may not, considering it will take over a week just for the doll to arrive in australia, so if its broken upon arrival theres nothign i could do about it.

    4. thavron>> if it's broken upon arrival, there is something you can do. just not when you've had it for months. that kind of thing.

    5. Luts are pretty good. They sorted me out after a while. I think one of the things is you have to go about tackling the situation in the right way :)

    6. pyrope>> yeah, determination not to give up and constantly reminding them about it certainly help too. it makes it harder for them to ignore you. X3

    7. I'm sorry that happened to you, though I do understand their decision because it had been two months.

I've ordered five times from LUTS all together. Three dolls and numerous clothing articles, bonus heads, hands and eyes. I've not yet once had any issue with them.

So as far as I'm concerned, I'm shooting 100%

Also, another thing to keep in mind, the people posting here are posting about negative service. With a large company, mistakes are made. You're hearing it being 'hit or miss' because no one that gets GREAT service posts as often as someone who feels slighted.

I think you can trust LUTS again.

    8. o__o Woah.
While I agree, yeah you should have checked it sooner, but I don't think the way they reacted was right... and that damage is just obscene.

    9. there is no such thing as a "small customer" bread 17 you have your own feelings and the like. You have the right to not like what you don't like, and that happens to be luts. I'm sorry things like this happen to very nice people. I'm also sorry for people giving you the "mother hen" discussion you know what happened ... thanks for bringing this up. Think about it this way maybe it would help you feel better "you've helped one (*namely me)" and maybe this will spread to others. ^_^

    10. Wow, this stinks. I was planning to get a Senior Delf soon but now I'm not so sure. I didn't think that quality would be a issue. Someone once told me that there isn't really a big quality difference between companies. But from what I've remembered visiting the Volks in Torrance, I didn't recall seeing any flaws. Maybe I wasn't looking close enough. Can I get a recommendation by anyone? I was also looking at dollmore model dolls. I'm not sure of anything anymore.

    11. i've purchased 2 senior delfs from them...both came to me perfectly fine. ^^

i've also recently gotten a breakaway from them. aside from the fact that he's kicky as hell (completely resolvable with a bit of patience in posing) he's fine too. ^o^

    12. I don't know about LUTS dolls because I don't own any... but I wouldn't worry at all about ordering from Volks. I only have one of their dolls but he's perfect, and I went to many Sumikas and to Sato while I was in Japan, and the people working for Volks are some of the most amazing, polite, helpful people I met in the whole country. :sweat They really take special care of their dolls, and treat them almost like children. Their customer service is top-notch, and no matter where I was, the workers were very careful with the dolls and absolutely devoted to what the customer wanted. The head of Volks (Mr. Shigeta) stopped to talk to my friend and I on several occasions when we went to Dolpas, and when Williams came out and I got confused by what time to be in line because of the language barrier, Mr. Shigeta's daughter came to talk to me about it and even gave me her cell phone number, and said she would do her best to get a doll for me even though I wasn't there in time. I also once emailed to see if I could order a pair of eyes from the online store in a color and size they didn't have in stock, and they emailed me back the next day saying they would get me a pair as soon as possible even if it wasn't in stock online. I would never think twice about ordering anything from Volks, be it only a pair of shoes or a whole doll. I hope that's a good enough recommendation?

To get a bit more on topic, bread17, I see there isn't anything in this thread from you in a while...I really hope you didn't give up on getting a new leg part from LUTS or, since MiniFee have moved, from FeePle. There is no way any of that was your fault and I think they absolutely should have helped you if they value their customers or their reputation. Did you try to get anything fixed once MiniFee moved???

    13. This...is worrysom. D:
I keep hearing about quality issues from Luts recently, and I wonder if I should be ordering an Aru anytime soon... I mean, CP resin is different form the Kid Delf/Senior Delf line, so...which is having problems? It's kind of hard to search this topic for latest discussion...

    14. it is hard to say. i always keep and eye on this stuff, and from what ive seen, there has been no 'defects' with the kid delfs - but sometimes they will send the incorrent item; like any company sometimes does ^^ dont worry about it.

most defects were through the delfs

    15. Geez that inside of the calf is really uneven, and the hole is huge compared to other companies! ><'

I've had shoulders chipping on CP dolls (two of my dolls have that @_@), and I think my sister has delt with the ankle part cracking as well.
But I've never seen the resin all cracky/chapped like that! >.< (Or at least that bad)

    16. Yeah, I'm totally agree with what Datsuki said here.
You don't have to worry about Kid Delf, enedving! :)
Up until now, I've never heard any bad things about kid delfs.

    17. :sweat I'm glad to hear that! I hope my cherry dreaming is fine when she arrives!

But then again I did order just a delf head alone and reading about some of the previous things said... *_*

    18. Luts is taking 8 friggin weeks so send me a doll they were supposed to have in stock!!!

    19. Just a bit of clarification on this, Luts never do sell dolls "in stock". They were casted after your order, which means it'll take a while.

It's just taking longer lately than what it has been, though.

    20. the-sinister>> did you get your doll with a faceup? the faceup option often adds quite a bit of waiting time.
