1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

LUTS, How can I trust you again?

Jul 31, 2007

    1. My dear, I think LUTS DOES understand what we are talking about, they just prevent not to know what the problems are.

I hate to say this, but if they really don't know what happend, why they sanded my friend's doll and wrapped all the chaps completely before sending him back to her?

Thank you so much. You are so kind^^

Actually I can fix it by myself. Thank you again!
But I've decided to against luts once more for my right. And I really want to know what they say about the calf part when they are facing the comparison pictures:)

Besides, I'm far away from the central area of Hong Kong , the enviroment in my college is perfect to live. :) Near the sea, and everything is perfect including the air. I can show you the pictures if anyone's interested ^^
And the key thing here is, NONE of my other dolls got problems, only luts' did.

    2. kiradyn_rhiode
      Yeah it's a bit strange..
As far as i know.. and got told.. ordering at luts in summer time here is a better not do.
Spring time is the best because then you get the winter precasts...
if you are lucky.. and they should come from the dry season... or something XB

      Bread17

Well i hope Luts is taking notes anyway.
I rather have them closing down in the dry season..precasting allot of dolls..and then sell those whole year round, so they are sure customers get good resin!
(but I'm sure this is impossable..but i think dim does this)

    3. To be honest, I feel sad if I have to pick up the korea-good-weather time carefully to get my dolls. And I really think it is somewhat "funny" - -

I've seen so many dolls bought by my friends all over the year from other korea companies, none of their resin gets chapping.

    4. bread17

      Hmhm indeed...
well allot of comany's have air bubbles..i rarely hear of that from luts...
(my doc girl has small airbubles all over her small iner hand joints o_o")

But it's a bit iffy... just like they're resin mix is never the same,
      they're colors keep changing.
It gives the company a charm..i know.. but it still makes me feel a bit..are they to lazy to really check the resin?

    5. bread17>> yeah. i get what you mean. i wouldn't mind a slightly longer wait during bad-weather months if they could guarantee that the quality would be the same as the dolls cast during normal-weather months. i mean, given the price of these dolls, quality should be a priority.

and sometimes, it's not possible to wait for those 'better weather' months. like if they're having an event that you want to take part in, or when there's a limited release, or if there's a reason why you're ordering a doll at a given point in time (e.g. a present). D:

    6. naiara>> i've heard a lot about the varying normal-skin colour. mine seem to be an anomaly, if that's the case, because all my boys...are about the same tone. :\ only my oldest boy seems a tad yellower. which is of course to be expected. but i've been able to swap heads and bodies and not notice any colour differences. D:

    7. i wonder does real skin quality is better? cos so far i have not heard anything bad from the new kid delfs and senior delfs. (i wanna order a Dion this year end hopefully!!)

abit OT, 2 of my sg doll owners frens here also have resin problem with DOD, their ducan knee chip off. i heard it's bad resin batch too

    8. Hm. I was going to order my ShuShu in the next few weeks... but given the thought of waiting until the rainy season is over, would you lot suggest I hold off until the later months of the year?

I would really love to have Alice home for the Holidays, but I'll wait if I must.

    9. jemstone: i think it's better to hold ^^ besides rainy season, and they are rushing orders also. if i were you, i will definitely wait awhile until they finish what they have on hands.

    10. meeve
      ai.. duncan is so pwetty..
i'm receiving a kid delf Cherry soon.
I am getting him second hand but he is real skin.

I will check it out (probebly take him a party to see if he has any chips..i understand he's had 2 owners alread)

      kiradyn_rhiode

      Wow you're so Lucky!
If you look at the dutch mnf ns's..there is one soo..she's simply yellow..and always has been so it isn't yellowing..
my girl is rather white..like she was a real skin test or something
And the vamp Chiwoo's are just really close to my own skin color.

Funny thing is one girl has a mnf Lishe head ns from the very first mnf lishe batch..and she's the best match with my shushu o_o"

    11. jemstone>> my mnf shiwoo and the mnf elf shiwoo i recently sold came perfectly fine (got both of them during mid and late july). in terms of resin quality, i think they should be fine.

you might want to ask LUTS about the ankle joint, though. if they'll be using that wonky joint in all their future girl dolls. because i believe that would be your most valid concern during this period.

[EDIT] oh right, i forgot about their delays. yeah, waiting for them to clear out their existing orders first would be a good idea.

naiara>> yeah. i'm very surprised (happily so) that my boys have no problems with head swaps. :3

i had no idea that the resin colour for normal skin varied that much!! o.o

    12. oh yes ^^ jemstone, you should ask them perhaps they will start to worry that everyone is questioning their mnf girl body!

i can't say much for my boy resin match with other cps, cos he's been around quite a while since i got him frm his last owner ^^ and i play with him alot. he's definitely yellowed abit and less peachy than the new ones.

kiradyn_rhiode: did they always keep ur boys in boxes or away in cupboard?

    13. Most of my NS guys and gals are pretty close to the same color... Some of the older ones are a little yellower and some of the recent ones are a little pinker, but the differences aren't all that noticable for most of them.

The BW dolls on the other hand... Ooof. No two of them are the same, and they run the range from butter yellow (Crane, October 2005) to a nice, pale cream (Crow, October 2004) to "beauty green" (Nightengale's head, January 2006) to nearly paper white (Kingfisher, September 2006 and Gaia, December 2006).

    14. meeve>> up to the point when i had 2 (xar and lucien), i converted the LUTS shipping box into a 'bed' for them and covered them with a blanket my granny had knitted and covered that with the 2 cushions that came with lucien's body. my 3rd idiot came as my room was being renovated, so i just made sure that the room i was staying in constantly had its curtains down. my new room has cupboard space enough for all of them (at least the ones with bodies, though it's rather full now. D: ).

      xar and lucien often get taken out, though. but i suppose other than that, they're not really exposed to sunlight. ^^;;

    15. wow, im very worried now, i have ordered a sd lishe 3 july, and now they are so very busy.T-T great time to order robin*slaps herself
i also asked for a custom face up, so i hope that they won't mess it up coz they are in a hurry.
and i think its a bunch of noncense that the customer has to pay for a flaw, we are talking about a 300 up to 700 doll, its not a barbie, if you pay that much for bunch of resin, then it would be more then normal to recieve a perfect doll, geese it costs a small fortune for crying out loud! if you ask that much money then make the quality worth it

    16. I'm lucky, I guess, in that both my BW boys and my girl match, even though they are from totally different times. (Early 05 and late 06.)

My NS all match, all the way from limited to standard, with timing all over the place.

As for custom faceups, I was lucky with mine, and am very pleased.

    17. kiradyn_rhiode
Wow, sounds like you are worried about yellowing.
<--won't put her dolls out in the sun to long..but i guess i'm jinda just relaxed about that
i'm okey with becomming the old lady with the yellow dolls o_o
(or els i should have bought mini supia or something with that special resin XB )

thats another thing.. cp bw yellowes really fast "points at pictures bella took of boob parts"
i never heard/seen any sort of reaction from luts on that..
because i'm sure they know it too.

    18. Well, this all sounds extremely alarming - those photos are very upsetting! Poor El.

Do we have any idea a) how widespread this is among LUTS's dolls (I hear talk of it being "bad batches" of resin, also talk of it being due to rushed production...?) and b) if there is anywhere else one could purchase, for example, a CP El, so as to by-pass any frightning customer service?

      What do you think?

    19. So, those of you suggesting I "wait a while" - how long would you suggest?

I really would like Alice home in time for the holidays, but how long would a good wait be?

    20. Lupie_Stardust

      No,
you can only buy them second hand or from luts.
I never had problems with second hand buying..(from doa marketplace)
and you can actually see what you get,
and not get jump-suprised by bad resin XB
