Magical Angel 1/4 discussion

I like it too and I think if they showed the photo on the website, they would get more interest from people, especially when other companies use transparent for mainly limited fantasy parts and not for a whole doll.

Oh, those are dolls are so awesome. Poseability and Resin alone. I'm not gaga over the facial sculpts, but seeing hybrid pics has perked me right up. I'm dying to see more pics though.

 

Has anyone ordered through the US site? I emailed a few questions a few days ago and haven't received a response. I'm confused by their prices as they seem more than direct?

great photos....I'm wondering if the feet would work on any other MSDs? I could totally use those for one of my girls instead of getting a whole new doll. Do you have any other MSDs that you could try them on to see if it would work?

Not sure, I only have one other MSD. In my opinion, I think it could work out with some modifications, as I'm sure the feet only work well with certain bodies capable of certain posabilities...

Those of you who've had them for a little while now, what do you think of their bodies? I'm strongly thinking of one for a head I've had a while (WS that has mellowed to a nice creamy color), so I'd like to hear from people who've been hands-on with them.

 

I'm actually wondering how Magical Angel resin matches with Resinsoul...I really just adore their bodies those jointed feet sold it for me since I'm trying to make a doll that'll be a ballerina so I need her to obviously be able to do those dance moves especially standing on her toes. Anyone got a pic of a MA doll with an RS head? (White skin preferably...Their yellow looks a little...Um...Jaundiced?)

 

lol...I agree with you Arashi...I'm not a big fan of yellowed dolls. I betcha the snow white will match it looks pretty white. Kinda hard to tell from the photo but I would maybe think the pink skin might. I don't have any of their dolls yet so can't compare with RS...but I am looking to place an order from them soonish. The measurements seem compareable to Resinsoul double jointed body, though the chest is 1cm more and the hips 1cm less, so they seem in the slim range. The biggest difference is the prices for the resin costs the white which is a creamy white is the only option that is basic the rest of the resin colors normal, snow white, ect are $30 extra.

I had actually asked about just getting the feet but they said no they won't sell them separately because one of my RS girls is a ballerina and tightrope walker, but I'm not sure if the rest of the MA body really fits my girl who is currently on a Li body...plus I'd have to redye her..lol. Doesn't seem a very active thread so I hope someone can answer your question better.

 

XD I'm hoping even the regular white would match RS NS since they look similar. I emailed Amy about it and I'm hoping for a response. I'd really love to have a Ya head on their 1/4th body since it'd be perfect posing wise.

(Literally I have never seen a doll that can pose like this one can.)

EDIT: She responded she said she wanted to know when I got the head. XD;; I had to admit I didn't have the head I wanted to buy yet but said I wanted to match it best to Resinsoul NS if I could and showed a pic of my RS Song. (OT for this thread. XD;; Sorry please don't smite me mods since I'm talking about possible hybrid options)

 

The standard white resin is a creamy-ish off white by the way, I guess...? The only resin comparison I can draw is between ResinSoul White, Dollzone White and Magical Angel White...a new ResinSoul is too white to match with the other two, but I think Dollzone and Magical Angel might be a match...maybe. I can't draw a real comparison since the only DZ piece I have happens to have been lent out to a friend.

 

I have RS white and DC white which is from my understanding the DC and DZ has?? and the white seem to match on my dolls but I've had my RS for at least a year so maybe her white has mellowed. I'll eventually be getting a Magical Angel in NS but I haven't ordered her yet, probably will in the next few days. Not sure how long their wait/production time although it won't be a 1/4 doll..though I am still debating getting the Abbey mold in the normal white to dye her so I might have a few comparisons at a later date. Would love to see their sunburn and gray in person as well though so who know what else I may order..lol.

 

I'm considering just getting a full Magical Angel's Vivi since I really like her face (saw different pics of her and of the body) and I really like it as a whole. I can see making my character out of her...Plus she's really affordable. *goes back to counting pennies* Ugh it sucks being broke. XD;;;

I'm curious are they on the slim range of MSD or more basic?

 

I'm also looking for a RS resinmatch I've just bought an apollo head (he is around 3 years old).
I do have a MA in white so I'll take pictures of them when he arrives. For the people who want a ws match the normal white of MA allot more creamy I don't know about the snow white though.
But I think that Amy mentioned that they can do customresincolor, I'll ask her about it when my boy arrives ^^

 

Oh, a custom resin color would be wonderful! Let us know what she says, that may tip me over on wanting that body for my head, if I could send in a piece to be matched.
