1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Magical Angel 1/4 discussion

Sep 23, 2012

    1. Has anyone got a picture of abby's default company make up? Her sculp just makes mee think of my boys sister xD

    2. Hi everyone, I know Magical Angel dolls can arch their backs, but can they slouch forward too? I'm not really sure if being able to slouch is common for ABJDs, but I have a Goodreau doll that can't slouch and it makes posing a little difficult. Anyway, thanks for any info!

    3. Yeah...bad posture is possible. A slight lean forward is easy, but slouching fully forward is just a little more effort.

    4. Awesome! Thanks so much! I think I'll be ordering a Magical Angel 1:4 body soon then. It'll be my first real bjd body! I can't wait. They look sooooo wonderfully poseable.

On a slightly related note. Do you think it would be possible to put the head of my Goodreau bjd on the Magical Angel body? The Goodreau doll isn't strung but the head comes off and I think I could hook an S-ring into it. Besides resin matching (although I'm not actually sure the Goodreau doll IS resin), is that all you need for it to work? (I hope it's ok for me to ask that here, I did ask about hybridising in another thread, but it just occured to me that it might be different with the doll I have).

    5. Don't know much about Goodreau bjd, but if the bits and pieces are on topic, I suppose all you got to worry about is modding it to fit if it doesn't have what most heads got. The Magical angel body is sorta slim, just in case proportions may be off for you. My Magical Angel Amy didn't come with an S-hook, but a closed metal ring, just so you know...

    6. Thank you for all your help, stephaniefoo! I really appreciate it.:)

    7. No problem! The doll community should always help each other in their time of need (idealistic mentality), you should check out the box opening or market place listings for 1/4 Magical Angel dolls, they usually have posing and body pics.

    8. Hi there! So i was initally confused about the Magical Angel brand dolls and their association with Miro Doll. I ordered a "Miro Doll" Robin and just recently found out that he is in fact a Magical Angel Doll. I just want to be clear when discussing/labeling my doll. Here is a link to some photos of him

I'd like to make sure I'm discussing my boy in the right place :))

    10. Yeah, Magical Angel WS is quite creamy isn't it? I was wondering if my doll had yellowed already but I think it's just her natural colour. I have found out that Angell-Studio solid butter is quite a good match for MA white. It's not perfect as AS butter is slightly darker, but it's very doable.

I may at some point get an AS Dina head for my body. I just can't seem to love my Amy :(

    11. Congrats, he's very cute! And some companies' NS just happens to be very pale. :)

    12. Yep, that's why I said he is a "MA Robin" I just mentioned that I bought him from Miro Doll in case anyone was wondering where I got him from. Miro Doll often runs really good sales and they ship quick if you stay on top of them :)

    13. Old thread bump, but I was wondering if these dolls can crouch due to their jointed toes? I was trying to position my DZ boy into a crouch before I realized it involves standing on the balls of your feet... But something like this is what I was thinking. Can these dolls do that?

    14. My Robin can do this....but not alone. He is leaning on the trunk. He might be able to do it alone if he were sueded.

    15. Has to be sueded, tightly strung, maybe even have the joints wired. My boy has sueded joints, but I didn't string him up tightly nor wired him up...can't crouch, but most other poses are pretty good.

    16. These dolls are magical... :o I think I might be leaning toward one of these for my floating head's body after all... Does anyone have a resin comparison of their regular white to DollZone's white?

    17. Its an off-white, thats all I can say about the default resin...

    18. Could someone please tell me how long and wide the feet are? I'd really like to try hybriding the jointed feet onto another doll, but I can't find measurements anywhere.
