1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Marina Bychkova's Resin Enchanted Dolls Discussion Part 1

Dec 19, 2012

    1. Bibarina, has your friend received her doll yet? :daisy

    2. Hi Merrijane! Yes she has! Sorry, I didn't post the news as I was hoping to get her to join and announce it herself. She has sent me a couple of photo's, but I will need to double check with her that it is ok to post them (I don't want to steal her thunder!!) She is gorgeous, and I have been busy on a corset commission for her. Perhaps if she takes some photographs of her in it I can share!!

    3. Thank you Bibarina, it's wonderful to see her...such a beautiful girl! I know she will look amazing in one of your beautiful corsets too! :aheartbea

    4. Oh thank you so much merrijane!! I just wish I could make one for my own RED lol!! All I keep thinking is one down and only about a million to go till it could be my turn - not sure that Marina will keep going that long- sigh!!

    5. Oh Bibarina, I wish you could make one for my RED too! I know I must be very far down the list too...don't think my turn will ever come!

    6. We can live in hope merrijane!!

    7. Really beautiful! Thanks for sharing the new RED and keeping the spark of hope alive!

    8. Hi! I would just like to ask everyone here, is there any news of a Gloriana-sized resin doll from her that's going to be sold?
Thanks everyone, and would appreciated a feedback..

    9. No, and it doesn't seem like the kind of project that would interest her IMO.

    10. Well she discontinued the resin waiting list a while back, so I can't see her reopening it for a new line honestly.

    11. She is sooo beautiful!Thank you Bibarina for sharing!Congrats for your friend!

    12. Such gorgeous dolls, definitely my grail doll.

    13. Me too!!
I love the size and tinyness of this doll. Anyone know of any other doll that is simmlilar to this that I might actually afford and get in my lifetime? 2000 for a doll is to much for me.

    14. There are a couple of porcelain dolls that seem to be inspired by Marina's style- but they are not inexpensive. Also I think the dolls by Popovy Sisters and Marmite Sue have aesthetics that are similar- at least they are super artsy, unusual and delicate. But Marmite Sue is only doing Moonglass right now (resin line inactive) and Popovy Sisters dolls are not really what I'd call a more affordable option, just a little easier to get (since Marina has discontinued the resin doll waiting list and the one that exists is years long)

    15. I have a resin Marmite Sue doll, two resin Enchanted Dolls and one Popovy doll with Popovy wig, shoes and lingerie. All are nice for different reasons. I "play" with my Enchanted dolls the most as I have sewn for them and made wigs. My Popovy mostly sits on her spider stand, I did make jewelry for her and she stole a coat I made for one of the RED. I won't be changing her around much as I like how she looks and she will keep her $800 wig on her her head. Why change the wig if she has the real thing. I do have to say if you can't get a ED then you will be happy with the Popovy. The painting is fantastic. I feel the sisters do their dolls best so save for that. If you can get a blank RED, there a few people that paint them really nice. I like the fact if you need a doll NOW, you can order immediately from the Popovy sisters but like Galacticat said they are not cheap. I am Canadian so right now I won't be ordering much as the dollar is so bad. Also I must note the price of the blank RED dolls are in U.S. $, when I got my two direct from Marina she charged Canadian money as she is in Canada. She is now charging U.S. Money so that is over 30% more for us Canadians right there plus they went up in price as well. When I got my two resins I paid $2,150 Canadian each and they were painted with wig and tin. That was 2-1/2 years ago. I did have to pay 5% tax which the others did not.

    16. Hi all -I have been contacted by marinA and Chad to say that my turn on the resin waiting list has come up. My doll has shipped. Here is the text from the email

You are receiving this email because your spot on Resin Line wait list has finally come up! Please read the following message carefully about how to purchase your resin doll.
First, let me apologize to you for such a long wait. I know it must have been difficult, but my limited production capacity was totally overwhelmed by the demand for resin dolls. The wait-list got totally out of control, but I was committed to honoring everybody’s rightful spot in line. So, forgive me for keeping you waiting.
      And now about your doll:
I only have around one hundred (100) resin dolls left and currently only blanks, or un-painted dolls are available for sale, and only one doll per person. After this last batch is sold out, the Resin Line will be suspended indefinitely and then quite possibly retired permanently. There won’t be any more painted resin dolls made from this point on.
Although the dolls are blank, they do come with high quality glass eyes and an ED tin box, both in the colour of your choice. If you are interested in one of my blank dolls, we can immediately proceed with sorting out the details of the order (Asian or European sculpt, eye colours, payment, shipping details, etc).
You can find images of the resin ED dolls in the RED Flickr group: Resin Enchanted Doll | Flickr - Photo Sharing! or on the Enchanted Doll site here: Resin Enchanted Dolls
There are various artists who specialize in painting blank resin dolls. There is a long thread on the Enchanted forum full of links and examples: Blank RED faceups
The price of a blank Enchanted Resin dolls is $2,900 USD.

Hope this update is of some help

    17. Whoa, this is super good news for others on the waiting line o_o You aren't trolling us Bridget, are you? :P Sounds really insane! I had a tiny tiny glimmer of hope until I saw the price and noped the heck out xD

    18. It's for real. Several people have received the same email on the Enchanted Doll forum. It's great to hear that some people are able to get a doll at last.

    19. Yes definitely not trolling. I received my doll today
