Yes- an email. You have 7 days to respond, and it turns out they do have a layaway option (have to pay by the end of 2 months) I think there is a good chance they will get pretty far down the list- there are no doubt plenty of people who have moved on to other things, or who don't want to pay the increased price, or who don't want the doll if Marina isn't the one painting it (that almost made me change my mind but then I went for it..)
ooh, mñif. There go my chances and my hopes. It is best to assume that I will never own one of them, neither resin, nor porcelain. This is like, the perpetual not-happening dream. I'd rather wake up and simply enjoy other people's dolls. I always wanted an asian resin, but the prices combined with the scarce chances make it just impossible :_
Huh? I think that a flood of 100 new dolls makes it much much likely that people will get REDs not less. Even if you are not on the waiting list, probably given the number of new dolls, there are going to be a few that try and sell them at some point. Before this influx there were very few resin dolls out there.
Really? 100 sounds like a really small number, but I must say I am really unsure of how much people were in the lists before. In any case, if anyone hears about someone who does not desire to be in the list anymore, I would be absolutely glad to take that place! And can't wait to see yours and the others coming, Galacticat! it is very exciting to see these girls finally around.
I am waiting on tenterhooks for my doll! - she arrived in the UK earlier this week, but since then I haven't been able to track her... It would be so nice if she arrived before the holidays! I ordered the Asian sculpt and I'm looking forward to painting her myself, but close the the style of Marina. Before my turn came up, I was lucky enough to be given the chance to paint a doll of the European sculpt for a friend. Seeing this doll firsthand really cemented in my mind how much I wanted one, but deciding between the two sculpts was really difficult! Ah... my doll arrived today! SO happy! Sharing just the box since the blank doll without even yer eyes- isn't particularly special yet. But she will be! It was really kind of Marina and Chad to include the eyelashes- I had just been worrying about that.
Seriously if someone changed their mind but still on the list please let me know! I would to love take their spot! I also would love to give you something too for letting me take their spot in line! Sighhhh I wish!!
I received my notification from Marina that my name has risen to the top of the list. I have requested a European sculpt with blue eyes and an extra set of green eyes. I hope to have her in my hands by mid to late January. I never thought this would happen since I have been on the list for years. But I am thrilled that it has finally happened.
