That stinks.... Then again it makes sense considering I didn't see them in many dealers up until now.

 

Yeah. . . . Sadly they're pretty expensive. But from what I've seen online, they're similar to Puyoo dolls and have notches in their hips to help with posing. Considering you also get 4 pairs of hands with each doll, I think the price is somewhat fair. Maybe wait and see if New Clover Singing lists the doll. They usually have better prices.

Can't seem to find him on Taobao yet. I did find a post on Maydoll's weibo where they are doing a lottery sale for the 'fullset' doll, but though he comes with the entire outfit, sword and resin wig, it looks like he doesn't come with eyes or faceup either from the description of the fullset...

I guess Maydoll just doesn't usually sell their dolls with faceup?? You could try asking LegendDoll if they can sell him with clothes as well? Erica is usually quick to reply to enquiries.

 

Ahh, I guess i've been spoiled by more budget friendly Chinese companies! But to be fair, being a chunky MSD I bet there more resin used in the making so that would make sense the price is pushed up by that

Yeah, it does seem strange that you can't get the faceup with the fullset. So far it looks like Legend is the only place that you can get a faceup on a non-fullset doll, I wonder if they have some kind of deal with Maydoll for it?


Btw, does anyone have the human version of the body? I'm curious about the posing on it as chunky dolls can struggle with that sometimes

 

I do know of a video that has a review of the segmented male body! Here it is below! Just so you know, there IS doll nudity (obviously it's showcasing the posing), that and it's the old body, so there might be differences between it and the current one. It's not my video but it is from someone who I saw on DoA before, hehe!

 

I also wanted to mention that Anubis Dolls is selling the Maydoll Yalie with the option of a deep tan. And they even give an example of it on their website. Earlier this year, I ordered a lemoncat bjd with a deep tan but didn't mention it here because by the time I joined, the pre-order window had closed. Hopefully this information is useful to someone.

 

Clover Singing has just added Yalie/Ariel Rose Knight to their site. Nude doll, no faceup but with a choice of light tan.

 

Thanks for connecting me to the video! Seems the arms do pretty well considering it's a chubby body which is reassuring. I can live with legs that are more limited but find arms do a lot of work in making the body/posing expressive or interesting and where I'm most likely to get frustrated if I can't get them to do what I want

Has anyone found clothing that work well for this body shape? @Ai Kazi mentions in the first post they are similar to Puyoo doll Kumako dolls, do clothes made for those dolls work for Maydolls? (I have a Xaga 1/4 chubby body that I currently don't use due to it being difficult to find clothes for the lower half so it would be good to find some clothing lines designed for chubby, extreme pear shape bodies)

 

I'm pretty sure they will? I mean if it fits a Kumako doll I'm certain it will fit the Maydoll Lemon Cat too...

 

Welp, I pulled the trigger and ordered from legenddoll. I just really like the faceup so I'm glad they offered it!

I ordered my Lemon Cat (Serval Head, Myou Dark Tan) from MyDollection. I believe they're currently still accepting orders for the doll. The dark tan option is an extra $30. I hope this info is helpful.

 

Luckily I only preordered the body....... but I didn't get any final payment notification for some reason.....
