Welp! I'm gonna be having trouble getting the body home! Superbuy removed the option to pay with PayPal, and I am in the US and had no real options other than paying with PayPal.... Needless to say, after I am able to get my stuff shipped out to home, I'm not using them as a proxy anymore! I can't put myself through this again, especially considering the Maydoll body isn't the only thing in general I was waiting on shipping out.... Lots of doll stuff yeah, but also a few other things as well.... Dear god.... Also sorry for venting but I'm pretty stressed!
Don't stress! If you're in the USA you can use STRIPE to pay with a debit or credit card. You won't be able to top-up but if you go to warehouse and select everything you need and then go to check out -- the stripe option will be there to pay. I was pretty freaked out too at first. I also have my replacement head I'm waiting on and another body from DOLK that is still on pre-order and a few more shoushou dolls -- so I had a moment also. But I've checked out stripe and it works!! I'm not sure if they do this anymore, but paypal I think also used to have a paypal debit card you could get that would draw from your balance first before working like a normal debit card. So that may be an option as well.
I unfortunately don't have a STRIPE account, and I am hesitant to get one just for Superbuy.... That coupled with the fact that I have no idea about STRIPE, how it works, or it's reputation, doesn't really help.... Needless to say, I'm gonna be using Pandabuy from now on for any Taobao shopping.
You don't need a Stripe account to pay. It's just a payment processor that enables online businesses to accept credit card payments. Many online businesses use it. As a customer, all you need is a credit card to pay.
Okay, that's good to know... I can just use Stripe to pay for international shipping then I'm done with Superbuy probably forever, no Stripe account needed... I don't think I need to say again that they've lost my trust, going from my most recommended proxy to a capital everything AVOID, due to this utterly negative experience.

Still no word on the replacement head (though Superbuy said it was supposed to ship this week. I'll believe it when I see it <_< ) In other news.. seems like Maydoll may be having some manufacturing issues / delays . I'm so sorry I post so much -- I just wanted to give an update that my proxy just received the replacement head! Just a note that it does not come with any protective material/box -- it's literally in a plastic baggie and that's it. I'm requesting it to be wrapped for shipping to protect it from bouncing around! It looks pretty good from the photos from what I can see!
I'm curious if anyone who ordered from Jane's Doll Land, New Clover Singing, Anubis Dolls, etc. received their lemon cat doll yet?
Nope, no shipping notice from Legend Doll yet. They'd said 2 weeks ago that they would ship in 2 weeks. There was the Golden Week holidays during those 2 weeks though... so I'm going to give them a few more days before asking again.
Just a heads up that Maydoll posted recently they are having some manufacturing troubles! They will most likely be changing how they handle pre-orders moving forward. Well, got a reply from Legend Doll and they still haven't received my order from Maydoll yet. They will contact Maydoll about it.
I got my lemoncat today. So far I can see she doesn't have the issue with the eye. She is so big and chubby. I didn't expect that (thought she would be more like a mini dollfie with chubbier hips) She moves surprisingly well for that body proportions. A lot of little notches that helps with holding poses. Anyone knows what clothes will fit? Kumako probably?
In case of dresses, you should be safe with MSD size, unless their made specifically for slim MSDs. I haven’t tried any pants yet, so I can't tell.
