Merry Doll Round

Lol @kamia I'm sending mine to Sally Luk (ninjaxdestiny) of world of dreams. She's UK based and worked on my Harucasting Adori.

 

@kamia, so you're the one who beat me to it! I'd contacted Luchan about her tan Fang but you were quicker than me, I can't wait to see what you do with her!

And since I wasn't so sure about the resin colour, I assumed this was a sign and I went for a Cookie skin Fang! I can't wait to get her, she will be the first doll of my new collection, since I'm currently selling most of my older dolls.

@ThrowMyFaith, your pictures are gorgeous! I hope you will be able to get a replacement head.

 

I love your girl's new face-up! I think subtle works really well because the sculpt is so bold and lets
the beauty of it shine through without overpowering it.

 

@kamia I have put on an 8-9" wig (unsure of brand) on my Fang and it works out! I have also tried a Monique Gold 7-8" wig and that worked too... so I guess it varies?

@Cydril PLEASE I NEED TO SEE YOUR BADASS 50 YEAR OLD OLATHE HAPPEN. I can totally see it and I CANNOT hold my excitement!!!!!!!

Am I correct in assuming the wait time for these girls is around 3 months?

 

@Cydril Yes around 3 months, and then it took about a month for her to arrive after shipping (but that's probably because it was during holiday season)

@Sendell Ooo sorry about that :P I was panicking because I didn't get a reply and thought someone else had got her - I was so relieved when I heard she hadn't sold! Glad you're getting cookie though! They're both lovely colours, I almost got cookie, but was dreaming of the caramel skin and how perfect it had been for the girl I planned.... The cookie is also stunning... I feel with fang she can be so many things with the different skin tones, more so than other dolls I think. But maybe I'm biased xD

 

Awesome, 3-4 months is not a bad wait for an artist doll
Im really glad I jumped in on this preorder now! MDR just announced they wont be doing another one for a loong time.

 

I have one question for those of you who already have their girl, on the Komorebi body : what do you think of the body's poseability? Can she stand easily? How are her knees? Do they hold various poses, like one straight leg and the other one a bit bent but not completely?
And what about her elbows?
Can she sit straight and a bit crouched?
I said one question but in fact it's a looooooot of questions lol
I didn't find any review for that body, so I thought I would just ask ^^

 

@Sendell The body's poseability is extremely good!!! She stands like a rock. She can bend her knees and sit on top of her legs thanks to her double joints, and it looks very natural while doing so.
She can also hold contrapposto quite well (straight and one leg bent).
Elbows,arms, and shoulders hold poses well, even at a few angles in between 90 degree and straight.
She also slouches and bends back quite far and looks graceful while doing so.
Her side-to-side torso movement is so-so. It's a bit stiff, but with a bit of work you can get her to lean decently to the side.

I second the posing! It's excellent! Definitely better than my super gem, lol. I've gotten my girl to hold pretty much any position I've put her in, and the joints in her elbows and knees actually look nice. I'll trying to get some pictures as well

 

Thats good to hear. Small SD bodies are so few and far between. To get one small and a good poser? Excellent

Thanks guys for your reviews! I needed to ask because, poseability is such an important part of the hobby for me, I would be sad if I couldn't bond with my Fang because of that! But that's excellent news, I can't wait to see the various pictures!
