Merry Doll Round

I should be getting my girl later today, I hope! Usually I have to pick everything up from the post office but instead they put her on a truck to be delievered. They usually deliver it after my husband goes to work so if she has any custom fees I will have to wait until tomorrow.

 

@sdrcow I don't think they'll fit, I have one El from 2008, and Fang is "pink" and my EL is more similar to the ''oriental skin''. I'll take photos later

@evichan - oh I see, well thank you! Seems I might have to airbrush the head to match ><; Ugh.

 

My Caramel Fang arrived today!!!!! I am over the moooonnn. She's absolutely beautiful, resin is very smooth and even and the color is stunning!
(her lower body is indeed quite chunky, but I find it adorable)

Hello. I might have ordered a fang in cookie skin (as in: I totally did) :P
I was drooling over the caramel pre-order, but told myself she wouldn't fit in with my msd crew, she was way too tall, etc... but then the cookie skin pre-order happened and I just couldn't say no twice >_> I'm actually happy I waited, the cookie skin is slightly softer and suits my plan more than the caramel would have :]

Sadly, I have yet to receive any clothes I ordered, so I will have to wait to see if they fit;;

I also took a pic of Fang with Dollbakery 12mm-small iris- low dome eyes. I think they are the perfect size! 5mm irises are the way to go (for my preference anyway)!


Sadly, neither she or my ramie fit in with my slim msd crew like I was hoping. So I started a new collection for my 50cm dolls haha. They are too beautiful to give up!

@samson hahahaha no problem, my zaoll will take it as a compliment to you calling her slim~the chunky body is perfect for the character I envisioned! I find it super adorable! I am super impressed with how even and smooth the resin is! And you are right about her weight! I was not expecting it when I picked her up!

I got my girl in today! Boy is she heavy, like crazy heavy, I didn't expect it. Also for some reason I thought she would be smaller than she is and I was suprised by how big she is.

Her resin is lovely. It's super smooth and such a pretty color. I'm glad I got her in caramel and not cookie because aparently cookie is kind of a light tan color and not a true tan. She's less orange than I thought she would be from the pictures too which I'm glad about.

I have nothing for her and no idea what to buy her chunky hips.

 

I have a Fang strawberry head on a pink skin Maskcat doll body and it is a fairly good match. The size of the head is perfect for this body IMO. I will post a photo later today.
I also wonder if Supiadoll normal might be a good match too because if I recall correctly, their normal skin use to have a good bit of pink in it.

 

I got my girl in this afternoon! On the one hand, she is AMAZING. I can definitely see her becoming my new favorite. This body is beautiful, from the little belly to the shape of her legs. Not to mention her face, of course. I'm honestly a little honored to own something I consider to be such a work of art.

On the other hand, what a nightmare, shipping wise. My tracking never updated, I had no idea where the box was, and it missed the scheduled delivery date twice. Tracking updated today (out for delivery, thanks for that USPS, I'm lucky I was home), and apparently she sat in New York for over a week, due to what I'm going to assume was weather. I think the cold effected the resin, because part of her head arrived broken. It's crushing. I know I can just glue it all back together, but it's still a terrible feeling.

 

@Luckyl Thank you! I really appreciate it - it's funny you mention supia, because I was actually thinking about getting a Limhwa body - I might have to dye the body a bit... but I'm starting to feel lost in terms of color matching haha.

Anyone have a Limhwa 57cm girl that can try a Fang head on? I guess supia would work too, as they are really similar.

Hey! I bought @Luchan 's caramel fang! (OOPS!) So I'm joining you guys! I also have a strawberry Ophelia head in need of a body :P (Next preorder hopefully I'm not broke xD)
@sdrcow I can confirm strawberry doesn't match Doll Chateau pink skin or Darak-i normal skin, but that's about it.

I am still working on her face-up, but must say I love her and she is my favorite doll to date.
