1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Missing your dolls.

Jul 9, 2013

    1. So I thought I would come back and respond to this thread again. I am on vacation right now, so this is the first time I'm away from all my dolls. I was able to bring one with me, so I do have little Roya, but I still had to leave everyone else behind.

I can say this: It's a lot harder for me than I thought it would be. I do find myself missing them quite a bit. I mean, I always get to see them in my house, and now I don't. And, as stupid as this may sound, I kind of wish I managed to bring one more, because it makes me feel like Roya is lonely being the only doll here ^^; It sucks not being able to do anything for them. Take their picture, change their clothes, etc. I'll be happy when I get to see them again this saturday :)

    2. ohh definitely! All I've done to placate my missing my dolls is to be on flickr or DoA this holiday . . .
I follow the threads related to the dolls I have and in my spare time have been making clothes for my Blythe like crazy XD
She now has 10 outfits that I made in this holiday alone and all complete and hand-sewn... <,< now I think of my dollies back home and of simply how over-dressed my Blythe already is compared to them, haha! I guess that when I get back, I'll be doing a lot of work for my girlies :3 yay dolly clothes! And this time, I'll have a sewing machine *grin*

    3. OMG I've only had my BJD for 8 days now but on Sunday I got busy with computer stuff and even though she was in the next room I really missed her. I was too lazy to go get her though lol

Most nights I go and put her on my nightstand so the morning sun doesn't get her. Not that it doesn't get super sunny but I'm paranoid.

I'm glad someone started this topic because I was thinking of doing so. :-p

    4. Yes, i'm always missing my dolls when i was on a summer vacation for 8 days or when i go to my boyfriend. i don't know why .:sweat
e specially when it's a new member of my doll family.:) ( then i always think why haven't i took him/her with me?) but's they're safer when i keep them at home ^^.

    5. I really miss my dolls too xD I don't miss a specific one but I miss putting them on my lap, fixing wigs and dressing them up. I'm always happy to be back home with my dollies :fangirl:

    6. I sent my head out for a face up two months ago and I've missed her since I taped up the box. I should be welcoming her home today though.

    7. Is it weird to miss a doll in advance? I'm just so excited to get Michael, who's on layaway, that I already sort of miss him! It's sad. :( I can't wait to get him in October or November.

    8. Yeah...which is why I have several unpainted dolls here. I hate sending them out for face-ups.

Vacations are a little easier. I usually take a doll with me. We often rent a house instead of getting hotel rooms so I have no problem bring them along.

    9. Missing sounds weird to me but I guess in a way I did!

I moved away and couldn't play with my dolls for 2 years :o. I'd look at pics I took of them or pics of the same sculpts and be like, "aww man.. I really wish I could have them here to re-style or make outfits for...". After the two years were over though it was a ton of fun to open the boxes and see all the stuff I had forgotten I own (wigs, etc). Even now I still haven't finished unpacking. It's a bit like a giant dolly Christmas

Now I'm moving again and I can finally play with them a bit, but most of them I still won't have the time for or for financial reasons it's just not logical to keep them... but since I'll be away for another 2 years I've decided not to go 100% dolless this time! Taking a few with me to my new home ^^.

    10. We're on the same page girl, I miss my kids so much!
It's been 3 months already after I had them baby-sitted by my friends as I go serious on my studies.
My heart can only take so much, I' m thinking of getting them by the end of the month
Thanks for this post for reminding me :(

    11. Oh yes, I am just now familiar with that feeling. One of my doll's head is away to get a face up and I miss him so much! :( Feeling like I miss him is actually really unexpected to me; definitely did not expect to miss my doll this much.
