I have a weakness for tanned dolls and they have such beautiful ones. :} Poorly they don't have boys in there collection as I'm currently only allowing myself to get one more boy. :]
My Momo26 tan Olga arrived yesterday and I wanted to share her....I am so very happy with her. I have named her Violet. She is the younger sister of my tan Momo29 Lucy, Veronica. I did receive a pair of default eyes with her, but changed those out for darker glass eyes. I also received a tan Corrine Event head. Olga did not come with a random wig that I assumed she would have come with, nor did I get the correct shoes that I had ordered. I ordered the strap shoes in cream and pink and instead received the cream boot and brown strap shoes. I will be sending Momocolor a note letting them know of their error, but don't think it will be worth the hassle of sending them back and waiting AGAIN. I hope some of the others waiting for their girls to clear customs, clear soon!
Huge congrats queenbee!!! She is absolutely gorgeous! But sadly I am not surprised they mixed up your shoes. I am already scared I won't get the second body I ordered with her...
Thank you, Lil Spark. I know what you mean--- I was half expecting something to be wrong with my order. Thankfully it was only wrong shoes. I hope your order is complete and correct when it arrives. I wanted to order an extra body for my Corrine event head, but I am rather hesitant right now. Maybe after I see how the order process continues to go.
Congrats on your doll arrival! But sorry about the wrong boots. I ordered a tan Sophie before she was discontinued, but all the stories are making me a little nervous. Hope Momocolor steps up their customer service..
Oh, my. I ordered a tan Olga from MC on Oct. 3rd with the order number 0168 (along with a faceup and extra hands.) I hadn't looked at this thread, though. Now I am more than a little concerned. I agree that communications with them regarding having trouble making my payment through paypal was pleasant and speedy. But if my order has issues I am worried I will get delayed responses with false delivery dates. I thought I would have my girl by Thanksgiving and definately in time for a doll meet in December, but now I may not. I'm tempted to contact them now and just let them know I am aware of problems from other customers and if they can please double check my order before shipping to make sure it matches my invoice - Olga, tan, 29cm; faceup; extra hands, tan.
Zayne, I would try not to worry too much. I think only one person had a problem with the wrong head being shipped and it was resolved. I think the issues seems to be with extras like wigs and shoes and you've not ordered any of them so you should be fine.
I hope you're right, Smudge. I also hope I still get her by end of November, as their shipping time when I ordered specified 30-40 days. But it sounds like they aren't holding too tight to that time frame either. I'll try to look on the bright side and just remember that gives me more time to find the perfect outfit and wig for her before she gets here. I really like how sassy she looks on the website, but everyone's pics of dolls with a more cute look is growing on me.
I was hoping/planning on having the Sophie I ordered by Thanksgiving too, but from the wait times I'm thinking I'll be lucky if by X-mas.. Just wish companies would post realistic production times, you know? Would save so much hassle...
I've gone through most of the part one discussion thread and all of part two and can't find any mention of body measurements beyond what is given on MC's website. Can anyone give me a link to where I can find it here if I missed it, or measure up one of their 29cm cuties and let me know: neck circ center back from neck to waist center back waist to foot shoulder to shoulder shoulder to wrist wrist circ. knee circ. ankle circ. I'm going to try and make something for my Olga since I just searched around for littlefee and yosd clothes and can't find anything I like that will fit correctly. Thanks!
Zayne, here are the measurements I came up with. It actually worked out nicely because I was meaning to get my Momo29 measurements and forgot all about it. neck circ- 6.5cm center back from neck to waist-6.5cm center back waist to foot- 20cm to bottom of foot; 18cm to right below ankle joint shoulder to shoulder-6.5cm measured from outside to outside shoulder to wrist-9.5cm wrist circ.-4 cm knee circ.- 6.5cm ankle circ.- 6cm Hope that helps!
