Most Beautiful Body

May 20, 2013

    1. I'm not a doll owner yet, but I've always admired the graceful curves of Fairyland and Luts dolls. I'm not really a fan of Fairyland's M-Line minifee, but the lines are so soft and feminine that I can't help but love them!

I also like the body sculpt of the Impldoll Dorisy. I'm not usually a huge fan of fantasy sculpts, but the mermaid is so pretty!

    2. I vote Iplehouse, too. I don't own males yet so not sure about them ... but I do know that they very recently redesigned the EID body (male and female) and the first new EID males are only just rolling out. With the ladies their posing is said to have improved quite a bit, so I kind of expect the gents to pose better, too.

    3. Iplehouse nYIDs, Fairyland ChicLines and Feeple65s, Soom Idealians, and BlueFairy Tiny Fairies. I generally don't like unrealistically super-muscled male bodies or breasts that are far too large for their bodies, and I'm pretty picky with joints too.

I don't like a lot of Iplehouse's other bodies besides their new YIDs, and there's just a certain natural, smoother aesthetic I feel from the nYIDs that pleasantly surprised me when they were released. There's just ~something~ subtlely strange that really bugs me about their other girl bodies, and most of their other men's bodies are super-muscley, which I usually hate.

Fairyland's joint engineering can't be beat, though I personally have decided that I don't like magnetized wrist- and ankle-joints, and I find the more realistic (but still obviously stylized) look of their ChicLines and Feeple65s to be gorgeous.

The realism and level of detail in the Idealian bodies are unreal, and I think they're the best-looking male bodies I've seen in BJDs. A muscled body that actually looks natural and -real-. That's incredibly rare. I also love their female body of course. And they don't have the ridiculously long legs that I also hate in most doll bodies.

BlueFairy's Tiny Fairies are a bit different from the rest on my list, haha. They aren't detailed, realistic, or particularly gorgeous. They're extremely basic and simple bodies. But I love that, and I love that there's nothing that's particularly weird or exaggerated (aside from the heads), has clean single joints, and there's attention to the few details where it's required like toes. There's many, many companies out their with MSD bodies in a similar style, but I've seen a lot of them and there's usually -something- that bothers me, like noodle fingers or too-long legs or a strangely muscled boy body for their too-young faces. I think TF bodies have a clean, simple, attractive, and high-quality aesthetic and feel that I prefer over almost all others I've seen.

    4. The Dollfie Dream Dynamite body is particularly beautiful in my eyes. Perhaps the breasts could be toned down a bit, but the body has beautiful and healthy-looking curves. I have a particular affinity for the thighs.

I don't own them myself, but I have seen Iplehouse SID and EID bodies at a recent doll meet, and I think they're gorgeous, too.

I love my Dollmore Model Doll's legs. I really like how they accentuated and elongated the legs while still maintaining a rather natural look.

I just think all doll bodies are beautiful, I guess :XD:

    5. I love the look of the Iplehouse bodies. To me they look gorgeous completely naked - haven't seen another body do as well.

However posing - the CP (Fairyland) bodies at my meet pose much better than the Iplehouse ones. I have seen some that will pose their CP's and leave the iplehouse ones on stands.
I haven't heard anyone complain about the posing ability of a Twigling.
Also from what I've seen Magical Angel bodies are wonderful posers - but not as pretty aesthetically as CP & Twigling.

Suede and re-string a bobobie and you have a champion poser. I'm proud of my little sprite.

    6. I think Spiritdoll deserves an honorable mention, especially for their Elegance boy body. I have yet to see another company make such a realistically sculpted torso for that sort of slim body. If only I needed to make a skinny boy hybrid.

As far as bodies I own, I'm really liking my Little Monica Harmony girl body. She's a great sloucher which really makes such a difference in posing. I do wish her hands were a little more refined--my Musedoll Reche has the most gorgeous hands and they make hers look like little sausages in comparison.

    7. for boys, I really love the VOLKS SD17 body
for girls I have a few, VOLKS MDD basic body and Doll Chateau(MSD) and VOLKS SDG Origin body and SWD Una body(SD)

    8. Received my FeePle65 a few months ago... such an amazing body... IMHO her body is just as beautiful if not more than an Iplehouse SID/EID (though I've never seen Iple doll actually in person). Posing her is so easy and she stands like rock.

    9. I'm addicted to Soom Idealians. They are so poseable and wonderful, and beautifully sculpted if you like a hunky guy! My Iplehouse SIDs are very beautiful, but as others have pointed out they lack poseability.

I also have an Angell Studio cutie, and he poses like a dream. His resin is also particularly nice and silky smooth. But they don't make very muscular men, so I have to get more of those Idealians! (If Sugarble would actually release more dolls in their 70cm line I would get one of those, too...)

    10. Gamma Ray- Yes, I agree, Dollmore Models, both male and female, have gorgeous legs! The also have rather elegant wrist and ankle joints, and (in my experience) have simple but effective jointing.

Other than Dollmore, for most beautiful female bodies, I think Iplehouse EID and nYID are my favourites, barring their feet.

For male bodies: I really like the look of DF-A's second generation body, as well as Doll Chateau's A-body02. But I think my favourite ever was made by BuddyDoll. It is athletic and graceful, without being too superfluously veined or bulbous.

    11. Hmmm... I think it all depends on individual taste and what you are looking for in a doll!

I really like beautiful sculpts and will go for that over worries about joints or posing or resin color. So Soom SuperGem original (Male), Iplehouse EID original and SID (Male) and IOS 60cm (Male) bodies look good to me. Own all those and many more, but I think they are the ones I appreciate the most.

    12. I own DollZones/Iplehouse/Soom/Idealian/Volks/Limwha/Dollmore/Angell Studio/RingDoll/Dika Dolls/LoongSoul

IH/DZ/DikaDoll I own several different sizes.

That said my most beautiful doll body all around is my LoongSoul Luo Yue. Her resin is luminescent/her body poses well and looks lovely.

I do appreciate the quality of Volks resin and my Kanata is superb. However; much as I do long for their Ryoma Sakamoto it's for his head sculpt - those SDGR & -17 boy bodies look gorgeous but too small for the heads.

IH - really incredible sculpting on those EID/SID boys but the posing? Not what I'd like. Same goes for my Idealian. NOT that I'd trade them for ANYTHING....

AS - well my Rone is tan and body-blushed - he looks incredible. I'm waiting to compare him w/a Loong Soul boy.

    13. I love my SID female body. After having installed fresh strings and sueding, she does incredible things for her size. I also used to own an EID superhero man, but I have to admit he looked almost too much for a guy. Here, lookwise the SID male body Looks also aesthecially nicer to me. I cannot yet say much about posing, as he is from 2009 and still has his weak factory strings.

    14. For the reasons that have already been mentioned, I love my Dollstown 15yr boy and girl. They are incredible distillations of figurative art and kinetic anatomical illustration.

My ShinyDoll girl is perfectly engineered from high quality resin and this makes her beautifully expressive even though she's not beautifully detailed.

My Supia is a great combination of realism and stylization. In retrospect, she seems like a precursor to the more extreme interpretations of DollChateau. Her jointing is very clean and there is a very clear understanding of skeletal structure in the body sculpt even though it has intentionally been distorted. It's hard to make a Supia look bad.

The old CP Delfs have a lyrical line quality to their silhouettes that is still retained in the new Fairyland sculpts, but I prefer the weight and texture of the old resin.

Volks is Volks. They have the best resin, they have solid engineering, they have a wide variety of body options and extra parts.

OasisDoll and La Legende de Temps are both ladies with jaw-dropping sculpting talent, great for collectors who like perfection without the more soulless quality of the hyper-real iplehouse doll, but their forte is more with faces than bodies since that's where they started. I don't think I've handled Oasis bodies and LLT isn't finished with hers yet.

Dollshe also has great engineering but something about them is sort of equine in that they are a beautiful animal comprised of many ugly parts.

I like the look of the bodies I have from Soom and Iplehouse but the engineering doesn't always match up to the surface sculpt in my opinion. :sweat

    15. Aesthetically speaking, I have a few favorites (not in order):

      1. Volks SDGr boy body.
      2. Dollstown 15y, 7y and Elf body and the 18y Girl body.
      3. Male Soom Supergem original
      4. Iplehouse EID's, especially the women and the Superhero
      5. Spiritdoll Proud vs2 girl body with the small bust.
      6. the Unoss body

    16. Of the dolls I own, my favorite adult female bodies for beauty of form and resin quality are:
      Dollmore's Youth Eve
      Dollmore's Model F
      DollZone's Double-jointed B62-001
      Souldoll's Soul-Kids Girl bodies
      Souldoll's Double Girl bodies
Unidoll's Uni Real (no longer in business)

I don't have as many boys but my favorites are:
      Dollmore's Youth Adam
      Sseiren's Rake mobility body
and my most favorite boy body -- for most graceful, natural body and resin quality (the resin looks and feels almost like carved bone)
      LumeDoll's 62cm boy

    17. I would have to say Ringdoll grown male bodies are gorgeous. I have three and intend to get another for a hybrid :)

    18. I really love the Doll Chataeu bodies! I don't have one of my own but I've handled a couple and I'm always so impressed by how well they pose and how stable they are despite how delicate they look.

    19. Volks SDGr boys, Volks SDC boys, Volks SD17, the old Iplehouse YID, Iplehouse EID/SID/JID (they're basically clones in different sizes). Them's my favorites for many aesthetic and postural reasons. Their presence & grace charm me the most.

There are also, still, few things cuter than the Volks SD13 boy, with his upright posture & slight fleshiness & curvy legs & luminous skin. <3 They were my first loves, and my eyes will always give a melty little coo whenever they see one.

I think Soom Super Gem and Mecha Angel have the most exquisite torsos... although Soom really doesn't believe in installing buttocks on their men, which is a cryin' shame. Most Impressive Buttocks award goes to the EID Superhero, a bum that has extra mobility features and is also the size of the President's desk. Volks guys, any body type, all have the prettiest legs, even the butch ones. (But I am also still partial to the old CP guys and the old DOT guys, when it comes to having pretty legs and big girly hips. =D You don't mess with the classics.)

    20. I've never handled one, but I love how the DC bodies look. I've only ever handled a RS so I have nothing to compare it to, but from what I can tell they pose okay (I had to hot-glue suede my Mei to get her to stand, though), are good quality for the price, and pretty looking in my opinion.
