Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I'm going to say Iplehouse and Doll Chateau have the best. Iplehouse for the realistic porportions and Doll Chateau for the beautiful creativity :)

    2. I love the pureskin Volks SD and SD13 girl bodies. The lines of the sculpts are so lovely and perfect. The SD and SD13 boys are wonderful too, but for some reason I especially like the girls. The Volks SDGr boy bodies are absolutely beautiful, slender and rangy and not too tall. And they pose excellently. I am just hoping I will have a character who is right for a SDGr boy sculpt someday. I haven't handled the SDGr girl, but I would love to check one out.

      As for individual doll bodies, I am a huge fan of the DollZone b70-001 body, their original 70cm boy body. Long graceful lines and double jointed, I love everything about the body and wouldn't change a thing. I have more dolls on this body in my resin family than any other.

    3. I only have an RS Song at the moment, but his resin is beautifully smooth and my friend whos had BJD's for years said how nice he was and that RS must be improving... Her Dollshe Saint is gorgeous in sculpt but i found his resin rough... I like thinner sculpts like AOD and Ringdoll, and Iplehouse JID girl bodies are lovely too...

    5. my most favorite bodies have to be the Withdoll and Doll Chateau ones~ Withdoll has wonderfully detailed, realistic slim mini sculpts and the odd oblong proportions of Doll Chateau drew me in immediately; it's one of the reason I love my DC kid Hugh as much as I do. uvu the Luts SDF girl is also a sculpt beyond amazing in my opinion.

    7. Aesthetically, I think the most beautiful are iplehouse's. The model body, not the superman body, for males. They aren't the most amazing posers, but they sure are pleasant to look at.

    10. Doll chateau is my favorite, out of companies I haven't had experiences with!
      But out of all the dolls I've owned the Unoa male body is my favorite, very slim and delicate.

    11. I love elongated, stylized body shapes- so with that in mind:

      - Shinydoll for pure elegance, hands down. Beautiful engineering with tasteful joints for realistic posing. A perfectly weighted doll.
      - Supiadoll original female body for beauty. While I find this body time consuming to pose, it's breathtaking beauty makes up for it.
      - Dollshe purebody. The classic clothes-horse, this body still manages to remain compact for all it's 70cm. Again, a pleasure to pose (and wears clothing like a supermodel ;))!

    14. I like DDoll's girl bodies, Doll Chateau's bodies, and the newest MSD bodies from Dollzone. They're my favorites.

      Resinsoul has always been like that, at least the five years I've owned them..... That's just how they are.

    16. My absolute favorite is the Dollshe Pure body. The resin quality is top-notch, the weight is just right and the detail is amazing. I love the smooth yet somewhat toothy feel of the Dollshe resin too. Plus, the Dollshe Pure body is just as gorgeous as the heads and he is SO easy to pose :)

    17. The Iplehouse girls are fairly realistic and have very clean lines and flush joints, though in the larger "SD" sizes (especially EID) your choices of figure are only curvy and curvier. I bought an SID girl this year with the "small bust" and her measurements are equivalent to a real world person who is 5'7" tall and 30DD-21-32. You read that right, "small bust" is a DD cup! SID "large bust" is US 30G and "glamour bust" is 30H. For nYID and EID, the measurements are even more exaggerated in the hourglass direction, for example the large bust EID woman is roughly 34H-22-34, and the nYID girl range approximately 28D-19-31 (sb) to 28J-19-31 (glamour). If you're adapting human sewing patterns down to doll scale (as I am) these are the kinds of equivalent measurements you have to consider when choosing which pattern grade to use (for example, I'm making swimsuits for SID Mari, and I need to use the directions for D/DD tops).

      I'd be interested in finding out what other doll brands have realistic proportions and nice jointing like the Iplehouse dolls, with smaller bust options and more average waist sizes.

    18. Anything sculpted by Lillycat <3 The lines of her dolls are so flowy and natural even though the shape is stylized, it's the perfect combination. It makes them look like creatures from a different world, but at the same time you could believe they really exist. I love sculpts that play with our idea of the human body, and I think especially Lyse is the perfect example of this <3 There are of course other companies and sculptors that do that, but Lillycat's aesthetics just really appeal to me. I also really like the CP boy body(especially those legs)and Limhwa bodies. They are both so elegant and beautifully sculpted.

Well, I haven't handled a ton of dolls, so I can't speak to resin quality and the like, but... appearance-wise, I love Dikadoll's male bodies. *_* I just love the hourglass shape to them, and the 70 cm five-piece torso is just amazing. And I do own a 64 cm Dika boy, and I can say that they pose very well, too. I tend to look for male bodies that are mature, but not too muscle-y. >_> So Dikadoll wins for me.
