Most common eye size in your collection?

I have all 1/3 dolls except one 1/4. Most of mine wear 12 or 14, most small iris. Though I have everything from 10mm small to 16mm normal in my collection.

 

I answered the survey too, but I have tinies (8mm), yosds (14mm usually), Mature/Fashion MSDs (8mm small iris) and standard msd (14mm/14mm small iris or even 12mm). So yeah mostly 8mm and 14mm.

 

I have at least one BJD in each size currently, ranging from the mature tiny who wears 9mm with small irises to the larger ones that wear 12-18mm, with varying size irises. I mostly prefer my mature-ish-looking males to have smaller sized irises, however, I also own a hyper-stylized anthro kitty who is tiny but has giant eyes and wears 20-22mm eyes with giant anime-ish irises. I don't really mind the size of the eyeball itself as long as it is at least as wide/tall as the eye is big, and fits well in the eye-well. Otherwise, I'll have gaping on either side of the eye if the eyeball is too small, which is an issue with narrower eye shapes regardless of the size of the eyeball. However, I don't like having huge irises in my mature male dolls, unless they are anime-style or have larger than life-eye openings (in which case they are probably not mature male dolls at all!). Edit to add: The most common iris size within my mature DIM Minimee head sculpts and my largest male is 5mm.

 

Most of my eyes are 14mm and 16mm.

I have dozens of pet or very tiny dolls, most use 12 mm normal eyes. My larger dolls usually wear 16 or 20 mm normal eyes.

 

My vinyls all have 18-20 mm and the resin ones take anywhere from 10-14 mm depending on the curve of the eye and iris size. I've found that a 2 mm difference from what's listed as the correct size usually isn't a big deal.

 

14mm mostly normal Iris. There’s a few smaller ones I think? I have a few 16mm ones on group orders / pre order waiting to come in.

 

Mostly 14mm! Also one with 16 and one with 18. Normal iris.

 

Almost all of my eyes collection are 14mm (N). I have some 10mm for pet doll and fantasy head too.

Ps. I also keep a pair of 12 and 16mm each for size reference, but never really use them though.

 

Mostly 14mm normal! I've got a couple, though, that I use 10mm normal with; they have a smaller head and smaller eye opening than most of the others. Then there's one who I have a 20mm normal set in, but she's got an SD head on a short body. So, even though all my dolls are in the 1/4 height range, there's some variety there.

 

I have mostly 12mm eyes with 5mm irises.

 

10 and 12 for me. I also have a tiny 8mm

 

Mostly 12mm with regular sized irises. I own mostly YOSDs and MSDs so they’re for them.

 

So far I only have heads that need 14mm, so I have a 14mm normal I use in my practice head and a 14mm small iris in my full doll. I have some blank eye bases too, 14mm normal iris, but I haven’t worked on those yet.

 

14mm - I have two msd and four sd sized dolls that can use 'em. I also have a few 10mm and 12mm.

 

14mm small irises are my favorite/preferred size. I also use a lot of 12mm. I find I favor small irises in general since they lend a more realistic look proportionally. Sadly it's hard to find smaller diameter eyes with small irises!

 

14mm, since most of my dolls are in 75cm

 

Initially, most of my eyes purchases were 12mm, but my msd Huajing girls and some of my other msd take 14mm, so I probably have an equal number of those now. I tend to prefer smaller irises for my 12mm and normal for my 14mm.
