1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Most expensive doll you bought? Least expensive doll you bought?

Feb 21, 2015

    1. Most expensive was $1200 for my Volks Williams, which was still a pretty good price for him as I often see him go for more.

Least expensive was my Custom House Little Junior Mars, who was my first BJD, at about $150. He was supposed to be a PVC version of the doll they were producing but they had production problems and sent me the resin version instead.

    2. I prefer to buy secondhand since they're cheaper. The most expensive was 200 and the cheapest was 40.

    3. Most expensive is my Dollshe David Kuncci.

Least expensive I guess is the Batchix Clever Little that I won. That's like.... money for the ticket to the San Diego BJD Con plus sewing supplies to win Director's Choice.

    4. all three of my full dolls are Resinsouls so I didn't spend too much on all of them but my cheapest full doll was $126 and that was my Qing. My most expensive was my Song at $190. The cheapest piece of resin I own though is a Mirodoll Rain head which I paid $20 for

    5. My most expensive girl is my Volks Lieselotte, who has costed me about $1800, including shipping. My least expensive (and equally loved) is a tie - my Huajing Doll Kimberly and my Huajing Doll Eudora ended up costing me the same. Huajing had a 15% off promotion, and Clover-Singing ships EMS free. So each girl, including face up and EMS shipping came home for $204. :)

    6. My most expensive was a Soom Euclase, but I didn't like him so I re-sold him. The most expensive I kept was an Iplehouse tan Kamau, which was in the $900 range?

Least I spent was $120 on an Orientdoll, a very pretty older series.

    7. most expensive was my dollfie dream for round 400 euro (nude)
and my least expensive was my new order a doll love youyou full for 169 Euro

    8. Cheapest has been a second-hand Volks, most expensive is my Souldoll Freya.

A good friend costs good money, but your first love cannot ever be replaced.

    9. Yeah. My most expensive doll (a Volks Ryoma) was technically 'second hand' as you put it LOL Cause I didn't win the lottery. Got it mint out of the box from a lottery winner in California for the same price I'd have paid Volks (but cheaper shipping). So nope, 'second hand' is DEFINITELY not always cheaper with these dolls.

    10. Most expensive: Soom MD Amber secondhand. Pined over this one for years thus willing to drop the money on what was a relative bargain considering her desirable rarity.

Least expensive: probably the Elfdolls that found new homes years ago.

    11. My cheapest would be my tinies but that doesn't compare to the prices one generally pays for SD's. My other dolls are all SD's. My Mirodoll Wind came cheapest while my Spock minimee was most expensive coming to about € 300,- for head and body. Minimee heads are relatively more expensive because usually not many are made.

    12. At this point in time I think my most expensive was probably about $850, and only because Volks Japan charged the tax this time for me. Most of my dolls I try to buy at a reasonable price secondhand. My least expensive was probably around $130.

    13. When I read this thread the first thing came to my mind was my Volks dolls cause Volks doll are always so ridiculously expensive especially when you buy them from the auction...but when I think again...actually my most expensive one should be a KUROSHITSUJI Book of circus Ciel Phantomhive Cast doll (not yet arrived), which costs me USD 1380...I think it's the copyright that made his price even higher than those Volks doll of the same size (around 48 cm high).
My cheapest one is my Maskcatdoll Margo (57cm high). She costed my only USD 380 but her beauty is definitely worth more than this (oh no I am happy with the price ^_^)

    14. My SID Edan will be the most expensive doll I've bought when all is said and done. He's be around $625 (I found a couple of great deals!). My BeYours Redcopper was the least expensive at $350, but I've since replaced his head with one from Volks so on average my dolls have been around ~$500.

    15. My most expensive doll was my Dollshe Saint. I got him second hand for 400€. And my cheapest doll was a 5StarDoll Yo-SD Tong Tong that I got second hand for 80€ I believe. :)

    16. My most expensive was over $1000 and the cheapest was $58.

    17. Most expensive doll Volks $1000
      Cheapest doll Resinsoul $140

    18. most expensive was just under £300, I think... a very custom resinsoul lol. expensive for a rs.He's MSD with custom colour, transparent bits etc.
cheapest was £80, a DC Carol. he's YOSD and a limited event doll. He was second hand.

I'm not good at justifying big expenses so I tend to immediately discount anything over about £400 and just refuse to lust after it lol.
I just know I would feel way too much guilt over it. My brain automatically starts tallying up the costs of things and then when I look at my dolls if i'm feeling down my brain starts throwing sums at me and telling me how much i've wasted and how much I could have bought with that money that would be more practical.
      My brain is a jerk.

I'm slowly edging that price I feel comfortable with up though, but I still can't ever see myself spending over £500 on a single doll, the very thought makes my toes curl.
Love to have that kind of money or motivation to save but that'd be a good year of saving and buying nothing else for me and that's... not really practical.
Maybe one day i'll win the lottery or come into some better income lol. But for now i'm poor and as a result, my costs are loooow.

    19. Last year this time my Fairyline Lucywen/Nanuri hybrid was the most expensive one (when bought; I've sold nearly everything of her fullset though, so she came down to 800$ or something). Then came Sircca with ~1000$ (since I kept part of her fullset), but... I just put a Cuarto Ketar on layaway, and he comes with a heavy pricetag of 2500$. *_*

Cheapest one thats actually jointed is currently my Sio2 Bleater - she was 90$ including shipping - but I've ordered a Flower Melody Bread Cat (They only sell it on taobao and thats what google translate makes out of its name) which has similar joints to a Sakura and Paper rabit... but only costs 20$, not including shipping.

    20. As of now my most expensive doll is my Romantic Glance Williams from Volks. Excluding shipping and customs fees (which where so high I could have bought another doll ...) he cost 1,500 USD (198,000 Yen). (Runner up: LLT Ludwig with extra Ahaz head for 1,400 USD)

Cheapest doll as of now is my Volks Licht that I found on Mandarake for 8,000 Yen (around 70 USD - again excluding shipping and customs fees).
