1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Most Unique/Interesting Doll You've Ever Seen?

Sep 4, 2014

    1. Doll Chateau and Notdoll (even if the company doesn't exist anymore). Oh and the Angelbattle Skeletons are beautifully intricate and unique.

    2. I think the most unique/ interesting dolls I've seen are Kaye Wiggs dolls- I didn't like them at first but something about their faces was interesting so I kept looking again and again until I realized I loved them!!!!!! I don't thinks I've seen others that look like them...
      :D

    3. The Kaye Wiggs dolls are really compelling. I first found them in a magazine shortly after the James Cameron Avatar movie came out. I was dying to get my hands on a blue kitty girl Koneko which I finally found on the secondary market in Italy. She is so pretty. The resin is so silky and sooth. They have interesting expressions that seem to change. I now have a Lilac Layla too. her face changes from sad to pensive to happy depending on the eyes and wigs she wears. Here are a couple of examples of Layla's face changes affected by wig choice.

    4. I think Dollzone's 100cm Sawarieda is the most interesting doll I've seen. Not only is the sculpt unique, but it's also the largest doll I've come across.

    5. Agreeing with everyone who's said Doll Chateau- personally I find Irma in particular rather unsettling but there's a beauty in her grotesqueness!

Dollzone's Sawarieda is also absolutely beautiful and unique, a wonderful petal mermaid *____*

    6. Actually I just saw a very interesting hybrid on tumblr today. It had the realfee Mari head (modded a third eye), on the Dollpamm deer girl body (I forget its actual name). I thought it looked really cute, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the owner paints and styles the doll.

Oh, and that Hujoo line where the doll has a human face and a dog/cat face on one head sculpt.

    7. Enaibi's dolls are all very unique! I especially like his Airelle! Oh those hips and shapes. :D

    8. Ha, I was psyched when I saw this thread, to find out about more "interesting" dolls, but I knew about them all already :( lol, I guess I'm practically the world expert at this point

    9. I mentioned this one in a similar thread...but it's Magister by Oxana & Alexey Geets. But since it's a personal project, I doubt any of us will have the luxury of owning it but who knows. It's still a WIP but I truly hope that it doesn't change too much from where it is now. I think the sculpt is so fascinating and would be cool to see more dolls of this type.

    10. For me it's a toss-up between Circus Kane Moon and Doll Chateau Elizabeth. I love their originality! Aileen Doll's Cedric and Camellia get Honorable Mention, because...well, they're cyclops dolls!

    11. Most of the dolls that would come to my mind have already been mentioned, but I recently viewed a box-opening thread featuring an unusual girl that I had never seen, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.
Batchix' robots are something different also.
And there are some off-topic (I presume) beasties that I'm going to mention anyway, The Mushroom Peddler's little octopus, Sir Octavius Von Tentacle, and Reptile Doll's array of lizards.

    12. To me, I think Silkworm and Bleater from SIO2 are very unique and cute. Never have I seen an adorable caterpillar and a magical girl(?)/lamb doll.

    13. My favorites dolls are Dust of dolls, sure !
But Cedrisedolls and sprockets are cute too...

    14. The dolls :D of Natalia Loseva...They are small (about 40cm from what I can gather), extremely expensive for my purse (I cannot find ANY details of their prices though on the Agatti thread I've read they are around 3.5K) and unbelievably lifelike and agreeable to look at. They are the ones who would woo me back to MSDs if I had the money tree to go with them. :XD:

I must say I wish Doll Chateau had kept its old bodies and made more sculpts for them. I have been looking at Hubery and I wish they had updated his joints in line with the old Adult body. He has such a grumpy face, I don't know of any doll having beaten him on that score!

Then there are Ringdoll's Frankenstein - s (there have been 2 of them). I live in the hope that they will be releasing a 3rd version using one of the newest grown bodies (I am not picky about which one). :love

    15. So far the most unique doll I've seen is Serenade Doll's Artificial Bird. It's an amazingly beautiful and detailed doll :love

    16. Most interesting doll I've seen in person is my friend's Loongsoul Gong Gong, the water god version. When stretched out and held up, he and his tail combined are almost as tall as me! It's honestly a little intimidating.

Most interesting doll ever is really hard to say. I don't think I'm an expert by any means, but I have probably seen almost every doll out there at least once LOL. The most interesting ones to come out recently are hand-down the new DollZone Star and Moon. Not the little dragon babies, the ladies with their spines and ribs exposed, and no legs. Creepy and fascinating, I love them. Just not sure how you'd display one, haha.

    17. Yes! I love Bleater from SIO2! I keep going back and forth if I should get him or not. It doesn't help that the artist just released a kitty version and a Bleater with animal body x.x choices choices...

    18. I definitely agree! It's so tempting, and the fact that there's weapons and props for the doll just makes it cuter :3
The new centaur bodies are gorgeous too, I would love a whole herd of them xD

    19. Any doll that is gore themed. I have a Harlan (Gore Version) head coming and it is easily one of the most unique heads I've ever seen.
