1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Definitely mother, doll mother that is. I am a resin hugger and occassional head patter :)

    2. I put artist, because 90% of why I have dolls is to sew clothes for them. The other 10% would be collector, because I do have back stories for my dolls, but those stories shift and change depending on what I'm sewing.

I definitely don't feel anything parental towards my dolls, but I can definitely see why some people do! (Especially with tiny dolls--adorable!)

    3. I think I'm an artist or a collector

    4. I'm a bit of all three.
I like doing face-ups, sewing and spending time with them, but not as a substitute for children or the like. They have personalities and represent a character and I therefore try my best to make them look like their characters. But if there is something I don't like (like bad posing abilities) I'll also take them apart like a mad scientist to find a solution and to make them easier to work with. :)

    5. Artist definitely. BJD art stuff is mix of painting, sewing, crafting, and sculpture that you just don't find in other hobbies and I love it for that. I'm probably not going to name most of my dolls and just use the model name, but that's partially because I suck at naming things.

    6. I suppose, I'm an artist and a collector :) I like crafting, sewing, photos and I collect different types of dolls - one doll for each type.

    7. I consider myself a collector. I merely love pretty things. But when talking about her, I do refer to Ardith as a "her" not an "it". She's amazing, I love dressing her up and all, but I would never bother to put her asleep and play with her each day. She's fun and all, but she's just part of my hobby. I'm not creative enough to actually do moddings, face ups and the like, but I would love to try sewing something for her together and doing a mock up and perhaps one day actually try a faceup. But for now, just collector it is.
